WOW! We can't say enough good things about The Verb!! Everything was perfect! Such a cute little hotel with everything you need. All the staff are an absolute credit to this hotel, they really do make it! They are soooo helpful, kind and friendly, every single one of them, nothing is too much trouble. The little details this hotel provides just stands out, free cold bottles of water for the length of your stay, just take what you need from the fridge in reception. Breakfast was lovely, lots of choice & the breakfast staff are so so friendly. The pool area is lovely & pool temp perfect. Rooms are cleaned & tidied amazing, they do such a great job so much effort goes into it. The Japanese restaurant at the hotel is also fab! 6 weeks we travelled the states for and this was one of the best meals we had, the kids loved it. Would 100% recommend staying here. Perfect location to Fenway Park & the subway is a 5 minute walk around the corner to get you to any of the cities hot spots. (Just make sure you ask for the subway directions not the train) Lots of restaurants to walk to nearby. Would 100% recommend & wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Boston.

NOTHING! Everything was FAB!

The decor of the hotel was awesome, especially if you're into rock and roll. The record player and album selection was a very nice touch which we took full advantage of. The included continental breakfast in the connected restaurant was nice and they had a delicious dinner menu and cocktails. The pool area was small but very nice.

I feel like a hotel like this should be adults only. There seemed to be a lot of kids running around, most notably in the pool area. There seemed to be an odor in the bathroom even when it had not been in use. It seemed as though there may be a venting problem for the plumbing.

They didn’t have waffles but they had a variety of other breakfast foods. U could throw a stone and hit Fenway park. The view was amazing! Valet parking was very nice. I loved all the rock and roll memorabilia. The stairway to heaven was pretty cool too. The record player in ur room was a nice touch. My kids loved the corded phone in the room also, clearly they’re gen Z kids and never seen that before. The window opened, which you don’t see in other hotels. There was a portable fan in the room, which we loved. We would stay there again!

The room was a little small for the price of the stay. The parking lot was small.

A really fun well thought out hotel in an amazing location for a great stay in Boston. We were in town for my ur daughters graduation from Boston University and could easily walk or uber everywhere we need to go. The hotel is right next to Fenways Red Sox Stadium with lots of shops and restaurants close by. The pool is small but lovely and there is a restaurant in the hotel but we did not eat there. We did want drinks by the pool one evening and the restaurant was rude and unwilling to serve us by the pool which was unfortunate. Otherwise it was a lovely stay and we really enjoyed the kitschy decor and the record players in the rooms.

The ability to have drinks by the pool in the evening.

We loved everything but the staff were the best part. I have never been to a hotel where literally EVERY SINGLE PERSON who works there is just so friendly and helpful. This really says something awesome about the company because they all seem to genuinely like their jobs. Special shout-out to Mackenzie, Ella and Cisco. We can't wait to come back 😍

I am not kidding when I say that literally everything was fantastic! The beds were comfortable. The free breakfast was much better than other free breakfasts. The added bonuses and perks are plentiful. The place has the best vibe. I wanna live there 😂

Our room contained Rolling Stones records and posters and a fridge disguised as a Marshall amplifier. The whole hotel is themed around internationally known bands. Nice breakfast. Central location very close to Fenway Park and close to buses and the Lansdowne commuter station. Beware that there are several types of public transportation with several different means of payment (cash in buses, an app for the commuter train, ticket machines for the metro, etc.)

The record player in our room did not work, although the Marshall amplifier might have worked. It could be that none of the record players work, as the pick-ups are very fragile and might be ruined in a split second? Obviously, this was no dealbreaker :-).

We loved every single thing. The room was very clean and decorated in a way that made me want to move in and never leave. Beds were fantastic. There are turntables in the room and LPs both in the room and lobby, and my kid and I spent the night sitting on the floor listening to records and we were so happy. Staff were *amazing* and I loved all of them. Breakfast was so good! Waffles and smoothies to order, and warmed muffins, and coffee, and it was lovely. I wish we'd had more than one night to play in Boston but I'm so happy we got to stay at this property.

When I made the reservation I didn't realize parking was by valet only, unless you go to the parking garage across the street, and we were unprepared. So I'm writing this here so that you, reader, are more prepared than I was to give up the car key. :) It was not a problem -- I just missed that somewhere in the description.

This was a pleasant surprise!! This is a one of a kind rock-n-roll hotel. We arrived and was greeted by a very nice and accommodating gentleman who provided valet and concierge service. He was fantastic! In entering the hotel it was amazing! It's like you walk into a rock stars room. The decor is shabby chic with a retro feel. The people were so friendly and informative. There was nothing left undone or unsaid. There is a very nice Japanese restaurant attached to the hotel. The hotel upgraded us to the "Backstage Pass" rooms. It was awesome! They are Rockstar "trailers" in a restricted access area. They are themed and very private. This was the most fun we have ever had at a hotel ever!!!!! A definite must for anyone who loves music, fun, and comes to Boston.

Absolutely nothing!

We like to stay at the Verb when we come to Boston for concerts. It's a good central location that makes going to various venues convenient. It's also a pleasant walk to the MFA. It has a nice, laid back vibe with very friendly and helpful staff. And eating at Hojoko is always a fun experience.

During this recent stay we were put in a room with an exceptionally loud air conditioner/fan unit. Every time it kicked in (every hour?) we were woken up. This was not my experience from my previous stays at the Verb, so maybe it was just that specific room, or a one off maintenance issue.

The vibe!! With it's music-theming and attention to detail this hotel offers something special and unique, making it a stand out from the many other hotels I have stayed at. While we chose this hotel for its fantastic location (SO close to Fenway), what we will remember it for is being able to select vinyl records to play on our own record player in our room, the helpful staff, and the lovely adjacent hotel bar. The little touches like free water and available cold brew really stood out for me. The room size was substantial, clean and well appointed.

Although this was an expensive stay, I would say it's worth it compared to local alternatives.
