The location was great for taking my son to camp at MIT (in Cambridge), and for getting on/off the T. We also walked to restaurants and the Fine Arts Museum with no issues or concerns of safety (except watching for traffic!!). The staff is excellent and gave 5-star service! Umbrellas were useful on the first day!!

We had a double double and it was small! Even with sleeping with my child, the bed felt small! There wasn't much else at the hotel - no spa, etc. The restaurant was nice but served sushi and Asian and so we didn't eat there as there weren't many choices for food allergies. I had one glass of expensive wine, but the ambiance was very nice. It was more like a date night restaurant.

Loved this hotel, my room had its own lounge space which made it easy to spread out. I was there during a heatwave and the air conditioning was excellent. Comfortable bed, excellent bathroom and friendly helpful staff.

Breakfast and dinner was next door at Harvard Society which was a little intimidating so I didn’t use it. Would have loved access to a gym or even a recommended partner gym close by. Also on arrival staff should be more proactive to advise on food locations and walking locations. With Newbury St and a big park so close it would have been awesome if they’d told me this on arrival.

The front of house and the door men staff were exceptional and very courteous and friendly. These people are what make your stay at the hotel good. Good size room, 2 double beds which are small doubles and in the suite pull out double sofa bed. The bathroom could do with updating as it is old and tired.

Sink was broke in the kitchen part. they did offer to swap rooms after day 3 but we didn't as too much hassle to pack up everything again. They did give us complementary breakfast for 1 morning of our stay. Traffic noise from the street was annoying at times. Sofa bed-sheets were not changed in the 8 days we were there.

My wife and I went to Boston for a brief vacation. We were planning to attend a game at Fenway, so we were looking for a hotel within walking distance. We checked in online. When we arrived, we were surprised to discover that we had been upgraded to a suite at no extra charge. The room was large, and very clean. All of the staff were exceptional, especially the doormen, who were very helpful in giving us directions to locations that we wanted to visit. At one point, we needed to get to a hotel in the Seaport District to attend a lecture. It was rush hour, so we asked for the best way to get there. I was surprised when they suggested that we take the "T", which has a station just around the corner, and one near the hotel where the lecture was being held. In the end, it saved us a lot of time when we would otherwise have been sitting in traffic. We will definitely be staying at the Eliot Hotel on our next trip to Boston.

Beautiful lobby and amazing rooms. The staff couldn’t be nicer. Even though my room was not ready when I arrived, they went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. The kindest people. When I did get my room it was perfect. They upgraded me and it was more than I could ever ask. The comfiest bed, clean, and the cookies were such a sweet gesture. Thank you so much to the team for making this a perfect stay. The location is absolutely beautiful as well. Can’t wait to go back!

We booked a room with a living room "suite". There was plenty of room to spread out and enjoy each space separately. The furnishings were comfortable and styled to match the older styling of the building. The bathroom was well appointed with marble and new fixtures. The staff was extremely nice and helpful with check in and out. Having a doorman on windy/rainy days was a bonus! Loved the the old world feel to the place an it's closeness to amenities and food.

I liked the whole set up. Maybe have a bit of instructions with the mini bar?

We loved the European flair of the hotel - excellent quality and style in an understated manner. Our suite was very elegant and comfortable for the 5 nights we stayed. The continental breakfast was also a lovely way to begin the day with a nice range of high quality food options. We also splurged for an evening at Uni which was fabulous. And last but certainly not least, as it really made our stay special, was the staff who were incredibly responsive and courteous and located in a quiet area of the hotel so you could easily speak and hear each other while wearing masks (something that has been missing in other places during Covid). We loved our stay and look forward to our next one.

While we were upgraded to a 2 double bed suite which was just lovely and very much appreciated, we did find the double beds a bit small for 2 people to sleep in. We would have loved to have a room with 2 queen size beds.

Location and neighbourhood were their best features. Around the corner from Newbury street, within walking distance of museums and Beacon Hill. Very nice walks along old brick houses. And a short cab or bus ride to Harvard. It also features a fantastic Japanese Restaurant, Uni. Upon arrival we were given an upgrade to a quiet suite which was highly appreciated. Staff was very friendly.

View from our room that looked out on the back of the other buildings. Lots of airco's...

We chose the room only option without an adjoining sitting room & were very pleased that the room was a decent size. We had read reviews saying rooms were on the small size but that's just not true. The bathroom was smaller with just a shower & limited shelf space but that didn't bother us at all. The welcome cookies were excellent and the beds were dreamy! Also the staff were beyond helpful and incredibly welcoming, especially the doormen, all were excellent! I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!

The proximity of this hotel to places of our interest (Universities, Newbury Street, Prudential Center) is great. The neo-classical design was appealing too.

I think the vanities were outdated but functioned perfectly. However, the A/C units need to be revamped as they make too much noise, though it was working in auto mode (i.e. not working constantly). Also, please make sure there is enough water left on the bed sides when bed turndown service is due in the evenings.
