Easy check-in. The staff was very nice. Our room was quiet, and we had a view of the lake.

The pool was too cold to use. This was the reason I booked this hotel. Very big disappointment. I told the front desk about the temperature, and they said I'll tell the maintenance team. Nothing changed because the tech wasn't on site. On the morning of Saturday during breakfast we watched a staff member cleaning the floor using a pad under her feet pushing a cart full of food and then put the pad on the cart right next to the food she then put out for the guests to eat. Our bathroom wasn't very clean. In the corners where dirty. There was a part of the bed frame broken. Also, the window valance was missing.

I was really impressed by the whole experience—the staff working the check-in desk were so kind and enthusiastic, so it was great right from the start. The entire hotel felt spotlessly clean, and our room was no exception. Kudos to the cleaning staff who are doing a fantastic job. The location is right at the edge of Miller Hill, so it's a very quick drive to downtown and Canal Park—much faster than a lot of the other hotels on the hill. As a dog owner, I appreciated the friendly welcome that they received, as well as the good amount of walking space and provided waste bags. I skipped breakfast due to my schedule, but it looked like there were a number of options. It was nice to see that there was a gym and even though there is a pool, there was no overwhelming smell of chlorine as there often is in hotels.

There wasn't anything that didn't meet or exceed expectations.

The facilities were clean and well kept. The staff was very knowledgable, friendly and accommodating. The location of the hotel was ideal for traveling to downtown, shopping areas, and the airport. The breakfast offered was fresh and hot each morning.

The room is rather small and a bit hard to navigate, especially if you're bringing a lot of luggage. The cleaning supplies, such as soap, shampoo, and conditioner, are a bit hard to get out of their containers as you need to squeeze rather hard to get them out.

The breakfast was very good. Enough variety for our appetites. My brother in law had the pancakes and was impressed. He said it was the best hotel breakfast he has ever enjoyed.

We had a lot of trouble figuring out how to use the basin and bath faucets. A note of instructions would be helpful. We also had difficulty finding the light switches for the bed side lights. Again some instructions of where that tiny toggle switch is located or a bright red switch would have save a lot of frustration. The bed lamp bulb was not bright enough for me to read my book. A bit of art on the walls could help "warm up" the room.

My wife found the shower problematic. She told me the safety bar was extremely loose. Had she of needed to use it to avoid falling the safety bar wouldn’t have held. This could’ve resulted in serious injury and a lawsuit. Secondly during booking I requested a foam pillow. However there was no foam pillow in the room. Frankly, I was to tired to go down to reception to hunt for one especially after check-in, wherein their computer system wasn’t working properly. The manager kept profusely apologizing but it would have been better if she’d offered us something instead for have to wait approximately 45 minutes to get to our rooms. This was 45 minutes we could have otherwise used more productive especially after traveling for hours.

Tru is truly innovative! Great attention to details such as creating unique storage spaces in the rooms, refillable, wall-mounted squeeze bottles for soaps and shampoos, even new, easy to steer luggage carts. Tru also covers the essentials: easy check-in, comfy beds, great breakfast.

Better signage directing newcomers to the not-very-obvious front entrance. More shelf space in shower plus tighter water seal to prevent shower leaking onto the bathroom floor.

Breakfast was good. Coffee was good. Like the dry erase boards with places to eat/things to do. Great furniture in the lobby. Cozy!

Would've been nice to have muffins or pastries as options for breakfast. Butter for pancakes was only out 1 of the 3 mornings I was there. Needs to be out every day. 3 of the 6 dry erase boards had info. Why not all? Doors to handicapped accessible rooms are heavy - hard for a person to open on their own. Asked for a refill of body wash for shower and was given lotion instead.

Location was back away from main road, bumpy and pot holes made for a risky drive. Snow piles made it hard to see cars coming when trying to get out on the main drive. Excellent breakfast! Salt water pool!

Bed frames were larger than the mattress and we kept hitting our legs on the exposed corners! OUCH!! Noisy heater would “screech” when it shut off. Unknown clicking noise from the walls every once in a while.

The rooms were clean and a nice size for two people. The two ladies that worked the desk downstairs were always friendly and very helpful.

The only thing that I didn't like was the fact that I had to go downstairs to get a cup of coffee in the morning. Instead of being able to make a small cup in the room, you always have to throw some clothes on and look half way decent to go get a coffee. However, the coffee from downstairs was good and better than what you could probably make in your hotel room.

Very accomodating, organized, colorful, comfortable. Nice staff at reception. Very clean, quiet room with a comfortable bed. Everything was fine and worked.

Breakfast. The one pancake machine rarely worked. Eggs were not edible. Cereal, coffee and juice were ok. The area needed a good clean. Maybe it was bad timing on our part. Staff were great, maybe a little understaffed. Who isn't?
