Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Jackson Clinton

Michael in reception was a hero. My elderly mother had broken ribs, and traveling all day was very painful. She had talked about taking a warm bath, but when we arrived at the property (rather late--the lot was half full already), we found that the clean, modern room had a shower. I went to fetch our luggage and casually mentioned to Michael, "I don't suppose a recent property like this one even has bathtubs." "We have some," he said, and then he hurried all over the hotel to find me one, checking the available rooms until he had hunted down a bathtub. My eighty -six-year-old mother was thrilled. This trip has been very hard for her, but Michael provided her something to enjoy, and I'm very grateful.

Great location and a good breakfast to start the day.

Most of the staff were attentive, some were distracted.

Easy access from I-20. Very clean.

Beds were firmer than I care for. Breakfast area had a rear exit to the parking lot—so every time someone exited, cold air (30 F) came whooshing in right where the hot food was. Breakfast had an odd set up—the plates, silverware, and napkins were somewhat hidden— opposite the food right by the exit. The hot food was never refreshed in the half hour we were sitting in the breakfast area (potatoes were gone and there were only a few scrambled eggs), there were no cups by the juice machine—had to get cups from the coffee area.

I liked the decor, cleanliness, friendliness and attentiveness of staff.

Low water pressure for sink and toilet, although I believe the water line was being worked on by the city. Also, the refrigerator in our room, the freezer door was frozen shut by ice, and water leaked out when opening and shutting the refrigerator door, but the front desk was notified upon checkout.

The bed was very comfortable. The floor I was on was very quiet.

HThe person that checked me in was not friendly at all. I asked her about my Marriott Bonvoy points and she just gave me a strange look. Also she didn't give me my snack welcome bag for being a member. The bags were sitting right in front of her. Also the Wi-Fi was not working I called front desk twice. Normally it wouldn't have mattered but I had work to do that required wi fi.

The staff!!! The staff was amazing! They are a team that works well together. They had a meet and greet from 5-6PM where they served chicken fajitas and beer. I stayed in the king suite. It was so comfortable. Then breakfast the next morning was very good.

Things that the team would not have been aware of before my stay. The towel bar in the bathroom became unscrewed as I hung my towel. And the hair conditioner looked full, but didn't pump correctly.

The check in staff was friendly and check in went smoothly. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. We didn't eat breakfast, but the coffee was exceptional. The only complaint, which really is not a complaint, is that the conditioner did not pump out very well, even though it had some in it.

Everything. it was clean, smelled clean, quiet, good location, good breakfast, friendly staff, great showers, and comfortable beds.

It was a little noisy, but there were lots of kids. The grout in the bathroom looked like it could use a good cleaning.

The quietness, you can really relax. There is never any noise on the hallway. The room is so spacious. The bed is so comfortable.

The wi-fi would not connect. It was as though there wasn't any complimentary wi-fi. And that was a very bad inconvenience for my trip.

Didn’t love the breakfast. I feel like that could’ve been a little more effort put into it… I buy sandwiches in my grocers freezer that are more appetizing. Options of oatmeal that you can pour hot water in would be nice, danishes could be nice, hot chocolate or more tea options would make my day as I don’t drink coffee. You might have some mini cereal with mini milks (kids & adults love this.) Also I arrived in the evening, a few cup of soups or TV dinner’s in your corner market couldn’t hurt… 2 options of (meatless vegan), Italian options (lasagna & spaghetti), & southern options (meatloaf/mashed pots & chicken potpie) could be inviting & keep people from leaving for food or calling for takeaway.

I would’ve liked to of had access to Netflix, Hulu or Amazon prime in my room on the TV where I can enter in my information and watch my Subscription. That would’ve been much more appetizing than regular TV, which I have not watched in years.
