La Quinta by Wyndham Festus - St. Louis South

Everything was great from beginning to end of our stay. Nicest hotel I have stayed at so far in Festus, MO. The room was very clean and seemed to have recently been updated. Great time in the pool and a great breakfast to start the day off. Had a pleasant conversation with Ms. Marilyn upon our departure. Last but definitely not least, I must give a shout out to Chloé at our arrival she had a welcoming way about her. She had a warming smile and was very professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this hotel. Thanks for a great memory, and keep up the great work.

The elevator was not working. Of course, that is a mechanical item that can go out at any time, so I can not ding them for that. 😆

The breakfast was excellent.

I absolutely have a disdain for single-ply toilet paper. This is the one and only thing you could have done to make my visit more pleasant. So much so that when I had to open a second roll of toilet paper I was happy that it was of better quality. Actually, the worst thing about the stay was the realization that I'm now old because I have toilet paper preferences and am willing to spend time writing out a review. Really though, I liked everything about my stay except for that single factor. I'm probably going to stay again when I visit family in Arnold. Please provide better toilet paper, I will literally pay you more money for better toilet paper.

Breakfast was excellent and offered gluten free options including fresh cooked eggs and sausage, fruits, oatmeal, yogurt, and GF cereal options! The cleanliness and vibe was superb. Our room had a beautiful view of the forests and hills (looked like mountains) to the east. Many shopping and dining conveniences nearby including excellent drivethru car wash and an urgent care center within a mile or so .

The shower Pressure was a little lower than I prefer but was way better than many places I've stayed. I wish they used 4 cup coffee makers in the room rather than single cup brewer.

Didn't choose to eat breakfast

Better bathroom lighting by toilet/tub area. Non slip area in bottom of tub was NOT non slip material. Also I use hot bath to soak my lower back after 12 hrs on my feet as RN at hospital. The bottom of tub did not look like something I would want to sit on to soak. Whatever was painted on bottom for non slip surface was smeared uo the sides and by drain. Very nasty looking.

Clean, comfortable, pleasant, convienient

Handicap room needs pole in tub to position shower at reachable level and narrow h shaped grab bar at outside front of tub. A fold down shower bench would, also be good. The tub is not usable, as is, for someone who cannot stand steadily, lean and reach.

Room location/orientation was great. Nice and quiet. The room was clean and easy to get to. Staff was exceptional in the evening, both when I arrived and during my stay. One young lady made sure to go out of her way to get me a water and ask me about my room.

There was no breakfast. I know there are some limitations right now due to the 'pandemic', however, I have stayed at several places that are managing the breakfast situation much more effectively. The first day at 6:15, nothing was available at all. The second day, it was an orange and a granola bar. By the third day I didn't even bother checking. My job covers lunch and dinner, but I chose a hotel with a breakfast to fill that meal gap.

It was one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed at! Brendon did an excellent job preparing the room - it was immaculate!

For some reason when I have called to reserve a room including my pet (cat) I end up getting booked into a handicapped room. Which on several occasions I have asked them to move me from since I like bathing.

Breakfast was very nice. I accidentally left a garment. Called the next day and was thrilled the cleaning lady turned them in as loss. Thank you!

The sink area could have been a little roomier.

Breakfast is good. Excellent open hours and dedicated good staff keeping everything well organized.

During breakfast I wish I could have a ripe banana and only green ones were available. So I better got an apple and an orange. Coffee was good.

The room was perfect for pets. The staff was welcoming, and exceptionally friendly. The breakfast was wonderful. The atmosphere was great.

It would have been nice, because this was a pet-friendly facility, that poop bags and a place to deposit them were available.
