Hilton Garden Inn Kalispell

Very convenient to airport. Breakfast was pretty good for free . Rooms very comfortable.

Front desk manager was not very helpful nor friendly. I asked her to correct my room charge and she said to call Booking. "It was their problem." Would not help. I went back and front desk clerk checked an saw the hotel entered incorrect room price at checkin and corrected my bill. No thanks to the manager who ignored the real issue and did not want to be bothered and it was not a booking.com problem. Desk manager on duty at 11 am on June 11, 2022 was not a good reresentative for Hilton or Booking.com and was not friendly, nor helpful.

The rooms were clean, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, and the staff was courteous.

Exercise equipment was out of order. Only one treadmill was marked that way but the other one kept shutting off as well. At least one of the elliptical machines also did not work, and I finally gave up. Garbage bins were overflowing right outside the back main entrance. Elevators smelled like smoke, and my kids pointed that out first. Also the staffing for the hot breakfast was not adequate for the load of soccer tournament families needing to eat Saturday morning. (To be fair, I know staffing is a problem everywhere.) The hotel did try to remedy this by not charging for the breakfast, which was appreciated. Perhaps just a free continental breakfast would be a better long term solution.

The remodel has been an amazing upgrade, but I don’t like the fact that you can’t use the pool until after 9am and before 10pm. We couldn’t check in until 3pm, didn’t even get to our hotel until 8pm and didn’t have much time to swim, then didn’t have much time in the morning before check out. But other then that, the hotel is amazing.

The rooms were very clean and felt new. I liked the lobby area as well.

The breakfast was pretty bad. When I checked in, the manager said that the pool was up and working but when I walked by it said pool is closed and the pool inside was empty so that was confusing. I wish there was little things of half and half or creamer for the in room keurig.

It had advertised a restaurant on site, but it was a Casino, so I passed. However, lots of excellent places very close by. The room was light, clean, comfortable. The decor was pleasant, not distracting, it was easy getting in and out of the room and facilities. Lots of places for recharging, comfortable bathroom, although a bit small compared to some others where I had stayed. The pool was located across from my room which I appreciated. I had been traveling for 2 1/2 weeks, and this site was hospitable and easy. The pool/hot tub facility was very nice—a larger than normal pool and a great hot tub.

It would have been nice to know from the start that the hotel was under construction. No pool. No hot tub. No restaurant. Just a bed to sleep in. That should have been in the booking. I would have chose a different hotel. Kinda sneaky.

Great room, comfortable bed

The staff, we requested the room cleaned EVERYDAY, they cleaned it ONCE. We had to request towels and toilet paper from the front desk and still received the wrong size and amount of towels. When requesting the room cleaned, the front desk staff informed us that they would write down our room number BUT Housekeeping probably wouldn't clean our room. We definitely felt dejected, the reservation wasn't cheap but the customer service was non existent, our stay was SEVEN nights!!

Reception desk personnel were unprofessional. I was ignored by one and the other talked with their mouth closed and I couldn’t hear or understand them. Neither said “ welcome “ or anything that was friendly.

Breakfast sausage was horrible

Room was excellent. Complimentary breakfast was very good. Location was centrally located.

Renovations were just not complete in time for our stay. Pool not usable.

Overall, it was what was expected when staying at Hilton Garden Inn.
