SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western Reno Airport

We have stayed here before on our drives between WA and AZ and would like to stay again. The lobby staff is welcoming. The room was spacious and quiet with a comfortable bed, mini-fridge, microwave, coffee maker. Arrival from the south is a bit tricky but our GPS was up for the challenge and we had no problem. Departure the next morning to the north was a breeze because the freeway entrance is right there. The restaurant (15% off coupon) was just right for our 8:00 pm dinner. Our small dog settled in well and we noticed a couple of dogs with their caregivers walking in the hall; all were well-behaved. At registration we noticed that although SureStay advertises itself as “pet friendly,” the only pets accepted are dogs. We departed early the next morning so didn’t check the restaurant for breakfast. Very nice stay. Thank you.

We loved the simple check in and check out, as well the room was beautiful and clean and had no problem with outside noise.

What I didn’t like is I specifically requested a bathroom Clean and came back later in the early afternoon to find it not done, I then had to walk Down to the front desk and ask for our bathroom to be cleaned . The line was so long at checkin and I could tell the staff was flustered so I just requested clean towels at that point. Would have been nice to just come back and have a nice shower.

Location is off the beaten casino path which means quiet, safe, yet very close to Costco gas and warehouse, other shopping and eating establishments. Catholic church near and easy drive to Renown Hospital. Room was large and clean. Free parking and they don't tack on that obnoxious "resort" fee like others.

I've stayed before. Checkinig always has a line so waited 15 or 20 minutes to get to desk. Actual check-in was fast and efficient.

the room was clean and comfortable. The restaurant needs more waitresses, as there was only one to not only did she wait on people she cleaned the table and took care of the finances. She was running as she had a lot to do and people were trying to help by getting coffee for everyone. The waitress so busy I don't think she noticed, I give her a High Five for all the people she waited on, if I remember correctly there was 12 tables full and about 5 tables of 2 people eating. the food was .good

The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is located very near to the airport, in a good location. The staff was very helpful. We were in town for a wedding, but it was also Hot August Nights. We felt the price was reasonable. We were pleased.

The hotel is a bit dated, and seemed a bit dark, but that's not much of a "negative". The parking near the registration desk was crowded, but this was during Hot August Nights. On a previous visit this was not an issue.

Clean rooms; great service and accommodating staff. Booking.com however, screwed this reservation. I have a written confirmation from Booking.com; it was never forwarded to the Sure Stay Hotel. Luckily, when I went to check in, they found a room for me.

Booking.com really blew it. Hotel never received the confirmation reservation. Only suggestion for Sure Stay: Have coffee available early (e.g., 4:00 AM) in the lobby. Lots of folks take the early shuttle for flights out of RNO.

Staff was extremely friendly, from the front desk to the waitress to maintenance. Our room was spacious, quiet and clean. We were able to check in way ahead of time, maintenance helped us with cleaning supplies, as we made quite a mess coming back from Burning Man. However, they assured us that they don't mind. The waitress and waiter who ran the bar alone were stellar. Considering that the hotel was severely understaffed, the spirit and motivation of staff were extraordinary.

This hotel could use a few more luggage trolleys.

The 24hr free shuttle bus, the location of the hotel and it had everything we required for a one night stopover. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

The staff in the restaurant were working flat out and were unable to do everything promptly even though they were even running to try to fulfil their duties. More staff required although we know it’s difficult to hire.

Room was clean and LARGE; bathroom fan is on a separate switch from the light; reasonably priced, full restaurant in lobby (this is a big deal for me). Very nice and COMPETENT people, including at front desk, housekeepers and restaurant servers and cook.

Newer mattresses and better pillows would always be a treat. Carpet seemed old, but everything seemed clean.

I specifically booked here because of it's location to the airport. My friend was flying in to help me move into my new condo and I had never been to the airport. Even with it's location close to the airport, the noise level was very low. I liked the onsite amenities - great courtyard pool, restaurant/bar, counter service 24 hours for quick meals/snacks and clean laundry facility. Lastly, this is a great economical booking.

The labor shortage has made some services (as is true everywhere) lacking. The back exit/entry door closest to my room was exit only and room key access was blocked. The beverage machine closest to my room was non-functional. The laundry facility uses quarters only and they had to be retrieved at the front desk. Even still, all these minor annoyances are everywhere at this time due to Covid guidelines.
