The common areas of the hotel were gorgeous and I was very impressed! The room was very disappointing!

The room was very disappointing! If the room i got was the picture I saw on line I would have never of booked at the hotel. I would have stayed nearby and visited the hotel. I felt like I was in the servants room! The furniture was old chipped and ugly!

I loved my stay. My wife also enjoyed the hotel greatly. My one concern was that I was under the impression that we were given a complimentary room upgrade due to it being the first night staying with you. Unfortunately I incurred an extra 210.00 dollar charge. We were disappointed that this occurred because complimentary means free to us. I would have passed on the upgrade if I knew it wasn't free. Other than that our stay was exceptional.

The complimentary upgrade was not free as we thought. I could the 210 charge on my email receipt after getting home. I would have not paid the 210 if I known. Otherwise exceptional stay.

it was wonderful to experience the ambiance of the Hotel! service and atmosphere of the Main DR was wonderful. We had a window table to view the glorious fall foliage.

The food at the Main DR was disappointing - both flavor and value was lacking.

They are very serious about dinner reservations. I was given a hard time about being sat for dinner without a reservation. I was told ok we can squeeze you in after some back and forth with the hostess and then the manager stepped in to finally say it’s ok. I was sat down and the entire time we were there we were surrounded by empty tables. It made me feel like they just didn’t want to serve us because we had a small toddler with us or we weren’t dressed fancy enough. We were told they were waiting on so many reservations to come in. The restaurant was filled with empty tables and we finished our meal around 845 and it closes at 9. It gave me a bad feeling I wasn’t welcome. I feel like hotel guests should be given priority at dinner serivce, especially on a slow Sunday night.

The hotel itself is one-of-a-kind. Beautiful, ornate, and full of history. The location is incomparable. We were able to get a reduced rate through Booking.com that made it possible for us to afford to stay for several days. We could not have afforded the standard rate.

1) Small things matter, especially in a luxury hotel. A small in-room fridge would have been nice; far less expensive hotels and motels have them. 2) There were two bottles of water supplied on our first night, but even though it was obvious that we had consumed those (empty bottles left on the counter) they were not supplied on our 2nd and 3rd days. The housekeepers were great, and I suspect that it is the hotel's policy not to resupply the water. I can't understand that. Small thing. Important, however. 3) Finally, the policy of charging $210 per day for incidentals was not adequately explained, is excessive, and it was aggravating waiting for that money to be refunded to my credit card account (we spent nothing on incidentals).

The location of the property is amazing. We enjoyed the 1902 main dining room, the Stickney Room, the Observatory Bar, to name a few. The history tour of the hotel was very enjoyable as was the nature walk to lower and upper falls.

The room was as expected for a hotel built in 1902. The sheets on the bed were very bad. The mattress cover was ripped and the bed sheets bunched up and became uncomfortable. Even in a vintage hotel the bedding should be up to date for the cost per night being charged in 2023.

Omni breakfast was so wonderful. Ervy, one of the ladies who worked there and helped us went above and beyond. There were no pancakes at the buffet station so she went in the kitchen and it made for our kids. We were so happy and content! The front desk people are so helpful and nice too. The manager who helped us get an upgrade was so accommodating to our needs.

The room we had (luxury room suite) was a little outdated and the bathroom needed to be cleaned again. The outdoor pool had no towels so we had to go back up in the hotel (which was a hike when you’re soaking wet and cold out) to get towels. Same with the indoor pool. It is very small and had no towels.

The view totally blew our minds. The carriage ride was pleasant.

The food options were very limited, esp. for vegetarians. The place isn't very well kept.

Beautiful property and great amenities.

the only issue was what seemed to be a lack of eating establishments. There was a winter storm while we were there and there isn’t any others restaurants “close” to the resort. So if you didn’t have reservations at the restaurants you had to jump through hoops to get food. This was especially true for lunch.

We came to this historic hotel every year. This year we are glad to see some nice renovations. The floor and carpet near the lobby bathrooms are replaced. The chairs in the decks are new.

The food prices in the restaurants and coffee shop increased a lot compared to the prices of last year. So does the cost to play golf. Some food doesn’t taste good, for example, the pork belly in the Stickney restaurant was very salty.
