Overall nice and clean hotel. Their restaurant is good as well. My problem described below is not with the hotel, but booking.com.

Booking.com has to change the way it sells the rooms of this hotel. It's completely different from how it's presented on hotel's web site. Hotel's web site indicates specifically which rooms are facing mountain Washington. I booked the room on booking.com and was under impression that my room will be facing mount Washington and I thought I splurged on the room with a view and the balcony. Instead my room was overlooking a parking lot. While booking.com stated my king room with "mountain view" and balcony, the same room described on hotel's web site as classic room with balcony, no view mentioned.

It's been my 4th time at the Glen House. Needless to say, I love the hotel - from interior design to views, available activities, nearby hikes and excellent staff. This time, we stayed with a 9 month old baby and a dog. Towards the end of our stay, the baby had fever and we left early. The manager adjusted fees, reducing for the night we were not able to stay - even though the booking was non-refundable. Beyond expectations. Will definitely come back again this season! Complementary sugar glazed blueberry muffins at the restaurant for breakfast were super delicious!!!

Dinner menu does not offer much variety, particularly if you are returning customer and considering that there are no places to dine next door. Had to eat the same dish couple of times. It's ok but could be better :-)

The location of this property was phenomenal (10/10). Though paid, breakfast was also very good :)

Beautiful facility, clean and comfortable, as a travel nurse, this was the perfect holiday escape. Centrally located, I was able to get in a day of shopping and enjoying local attractions, and also able to grab dinner in the restaurant and veg-out in my room for a day or two to detox and relax. The short ribs were beyond delicious! And fresh toast quickly became my favorite breakfast with Maine blueberries and whip cream. Totally refreshed and ready for the Floor again 😌 will most certainly return here to relax and detox from Nurse burn out.

The tavern was well stocked and the restaurant service and food was excellent. There always seemed to be fresh coffee and hot chocolate available in the lobby, no need for in room coffee makers. One issue with a sink drain was responded to very fast, and fixed, within 5 minutes. Cross country skiing on the scenic Great Glen Trails is right out the back door. Alpine skiing is right up the street at Wildcat Mtn.

Just the slow draining bathroom sink. Engineering resolved the issue immediately once notified.

The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The views are spectacular as well as the lounging and walking opportunities outside.

One of the reasons we decided to stay at The Glen House was because of the swimming pool (we love to mix up hiking with swimming!) so we were quite shocked to see how tiny the pool was! The posted photos are very deceptive. it’s tiny and, more than that, very shallow so it’s not a pool where an adult can swim. given that we booked this hotel thinking we had the option to swim, we were quite disappointed, especially considering the price we paid for our room.

LOCATION! Surrounded by mountains...sunset & sunrise views. fire pit & deck for watching the sunset. Loved hiking the many trails right in the back of the hotel. Room was clean & bed was comfortable. There is a pool to cool off after the hike too!

Very corporate feel...not "homey" We stayed on a Wed & the restaurant & lounge were closed! We were also not permitted to take drinks onto the deck to watch the sunset!!! We had to drive 20min to nearest restaurant/bar!...That was a hassle! Did not have snacks/food available on site.

This was my first-time stay at this property. I and my husband, both loved the location, the staff, and how clean and maintained it was. Awesome place for older people, couples, groups, and even families. I will always love to go back there. The staff at the bar was also very polite and had happy faces to greet you at any point in time.

There is nothing I could pinpoint, which was wrong, except the microwave was not available in the rooms. This would have been a super plus.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property with lovely views of Mount Washington. Watching the sunset while we sat around the fire pit on the back deck was a highlight of the night we stayed here. The front desk staff were professional, friendly, and helpful. The bartender (Neal) and staff at the bar were outstanding. The food was delicious.

We absolutely love coming to the Glen House. This time we were only able to stay one night and it just so happens to be one of the nights the bar and restaurant are closed. That definitely made things not as easy, as we like to eat later in evening around 7 pm and we had to go out an order take out which was alittle inconvenient. But understand the staffing issues so many places are having now it’s just was a bummer. But otherwise staff are friendly and welcoming and treat my dog so well so I am very appreciative. Not many places welcome dogs like this place. So thank you 😊

Maybe there could be a few tall heaters on patio besides fireplace so if you didn’t want to sit with a lot of others you have more choices to keep warm.
