Hampton Inn Carlstadt At The Meadowlands

I loved everything about this hotel from the location to the receptionist area/lobby,to the breakfast and not to mention the free shuttle bus. The staff was very friendly and warm . I was able to check in early (bonus) the room was cleaned very well everything was just lovely . The shuttle service was very convenient to take us to the american dream mall and pick us up as well when we were finished. The breakfast in the morning was so good ,there were so many different choices to eat from. We only stayed for a night because we were in town for the meadowlands state fair ,but we absolutely loved the stay .

The location was perfect as far as distance to The American Dream Mall. Literally a 4 minute ride to our destination. The breakfast was good & plenty of options.

Our A.C. did not cool the room down enough. We actually bought a fan at Walmart to keep us cool. Also the Hotel doesn't have cots.

I loved the room, it was quiet and the curtains kept the room dark even when the sun was out. The location was amazing it only took a couple minutes in either direction which was much appreciated that after a long trip I didn't have to go terribly further to get anywhere. The staff both behind the counter and in the halls were very friendly, helpful, and professional. Check in as well as check out was very smooth and easy.

Breakfast was okay but honestly it was not dietary restriction friendly. I am gluten intolerant and the only thing I could really eat was yogurt and a banana. The breakfast didn't change very much day to day so I was never given much option for breakfast, I was lucky I wasn't hungry I guess lol. The pillows were easy to flatten and not very comfortable.

Everything went well! Closest location to American Dream Mall, the purpose of our travel. Rooms were clean, location was great, staff was awesome and breakfast was delightful! I will always stay at the Hampton Inn when I travel. There was a small snafu when checking it, but it was handled very well and the rate I paid thru Booking.com was met. Customer service was very accommodating in keeping our rooms right next door to each other as I requested. Fantastic hotel and service!

Everything was excellent from beginning to end Above and beyond!

Evening manager Frank really made my day when we booked the wrong date by not charging for the first date.. staying the night of a big concert we were lucky to get last room earlier from receptionist who honestly could care less but in any matter found a room… later on I spoke with night time manager Frank who honestly made me feel much better about the stay the concert my kids waiting to go.. thank god to guys like this!! Room and lobby was excellent, they even had decorated with Metallica posters and music for show.

Easy access to MetLife stadium

Great location, close to NY city , public transport right in front of the Hotel across the road. Hotel staff is friendly and provided printed instructions to and from the city. Awesome breakfast with multiple selections.

Hotel staff did not meet my request to put two rooms together as we were travelling as a family and had a baby and we had to also tell them at the front desk for a baby crib when we already had requested it at the time of the booking. Also the day of check out the hot water ran out and all of us including the baby had to check out for a 15hr drive without a shower. Just FYI the auth that they had taken on our credit card $200 is still not credited back to our account, but that might take a while.

The rooms were excellent. We went for a concert and they decorated the hotel for the show and had information on how to take the shuttle to redds restaurant then to the show at metlife stadium. Everything to do with the hotel was excellent. I booked early so I was able to get a great price for our stay!

There wasn't food on site so if you were planning for an event I'd say eat before you get there or bring something or snacks. Not that it would deter a trip but just so future guests are aware. Everything was great and hosts were friendly.

Standard Hampton Inn decor, cleanliness, layout, etc. We specifically chose Hampton Inn because it's a chain we know and trust - and we expect the same thing from all of them in terms of cleanliness. We chose this location because we were only there for one night prior to going on our cruise out of Manhattan cruise terminal. It was an easy-ish location to get to (even though we took the wrong turnoff the first time because of all of the construction on the freeway nearby), it's not in the craziness of Manhattan (which is what we were trying to avoid) and they let us park our car there for free while we were on our cruise - which is a huge bonus! Breakfast was your standard Hampton Inn style. Hot & cold buffet, with the standard waffle maker - which is always a fan favourite. If I'm ever up that way again, I'd stay there for sure. Although I think we'd ask for a room not over the main entrance as that can be pretty loud. All in all - it was a good stay.

The curtains in the room are supposed to be blackout but they're really not. There's way too much light streaming in because they don't fit quite right. The A/C had a mind of its own. Even when you set it correctly it would just turn itself off or on depending on how far it was from your optimal temp. If you don't have a car or don't want to drive, it's not the best of locations to try and get something to eat. You really do have to drive or order in for food.

Staff were attentive and personable. I stayed for an event in the local area and was surprised to find transportation options for the event upon check in. I was pleased with the room and the breakfast in the mornings.

There were some sticky spots (debris) on the floor near the bed. The TV remote didn't work, and had to be changed out 2 separate times prior to working. I had to make the trip down to the lobby twice.

The staff was extremely accommodating. They accidently charged us upon arrival even though we paid and the funds were refunded promptly with no issues.. the breakfast was hot and ready on time every morning .. plenty of variety. They have laundry facilities for those who need them as well. They were extremely accommodating to our stay daily . We didn't know if we were staying so we checked in almost daily . Not one complaint or any rudeness.

The only complaint was that our heat in our room is pretty outdated .. so it was not consistent . It was either oppressively hot or extremely cold . There is no in between. I would recommend they have their units serviced asap!!!
