The hotel itself was very good, clean, well maintained, good value and well air conditioned.

Airport shuttle dropped us off at a "Shuttle Dropoff", not Terminal A. We had to walk and tow our luggage for 20 min thru Terminal C, then B, then finally Terminal A. Was not impressed, but not much we could do about is as it was our first time to the Newark Airport.

price was great for the area. staff were all wonderful.

The hotel served the purpose of our stay, that is, a place to stay between flights. We choose it as it had a restaurant and free shuttle to and from the airport and included breakfast. The bed was wonderfully comfortable and very large. The room and decor were a little "tired" but this seems to be the norm all over the US for this level of accommodation. We ate at the restaurant and it was fine, average prices and a fair selection of meals, staff in the restaurant and bar were very nice. Breakfast was reasonable with the usual buffet choices. Shuttle worked out well, drivers very helpful and friendly and in the morning passengers were dropped at relevant terminals which was really great.

The receptionist was quite abrupt as we felt a little rushed off and she didn't want us to ask any further questions, we couldn't read her writing for the WiFi code but we managed to log on via IHG. Our room keys did not work so had to return to reception to have that fixed. We had sent an email prior to our stay to confirm if the shuttle was still running and the pick up location at the airport (as the information on Booking was 3 years old (2020) and this may have changed since Covid etc), however we never received a reply, so made our way to "P4" anyway and eventually it came, so it all worked out ok.

all was very nice except the shower/bath - the hot and cold water was placed in opposite way as indicated, i.e. cold was hot and hot was cold.

make sure the tap for the shower/bath will be corrected - turn the tap on the hot direction should run hot water, not cold. vice versa. please make sure your shuttle service was service to P4 not to the terminals so that the guest will know. "24 hr shuttle service" as advertised is misleading. Although the shuttle driver was very kind for taking the guest to the terminal if he could.

Room was very comfortable and there was a little cafe you could get breakfast sandwiches in if you missed the restaurant breakfast and they were really good. Restaurant food was excellent, loved the burger and fries , Breakfast buffet was good, lots of choices !! Friendly staff.

I had missed bringing a few items and thought I could get some from the gift shop but it was taken out to put in a Covid testing center....When I was told there were stores up the road, " up the road" was quite a long jaunt and it was a gas station with nothing I needed except snacks. Close to the highway so it has a big wall between the two sides of the road and if you pick the wrong side at the bottom you have to walk a mile to get to the end. I did a lot of walking :) Get a snack machine, people like snacks !!! Pricing is a little high but all hotels are doing it now, people can hardly afford to travel....

Convenient stay close to EWR for a one-night NYC stay. Shuttle to / from EWR ran every 30 minutes. And, of course, EWR to New York Penn Station is also easy. The shower was hot and the bed comfy. Front desk staff was pleasant. I was able to leave my large shoulder bag at the hotel hours before check in which allowed me to only carry a small purse into the city.

The staff were incredible. Starting with Gladys upon check in, she was there alone dealing with a challenging situation due to flight cancellations and people showing begging for rooms. Gladys was remarkable. Her colleague, Molly, was equally amazing the next day- and, it was Molly who helped me in the phone before arrival. The security officer, whose name I do not know was another unbelievable team member, she went out of her way to rectify a situation with transportation that literally would have meant missing a flight had she not gone the extra “5 miles” to make things happen.

The hotel facility meant expectations- the staff exceeded them!

The breakfast was excellent. Maybe the highlight of my stay. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Thank you!

It seems the shuttle missed a run (I think 10 pm) and I had trouble contacting the hotel to confirm the next arrival. This was last Sunday when many flights were canceled at Newark. The shuttle was taking in exhaust fumes - very strong smell of exhaust. Also on booking dot com, the prices for a room were skyrocketing which doesn’t seem fair to hapless victims of canceled flights.

The one woman working at reception was friendly, professional and very firm. She was working under incredibly difficult circumstances.

Because of storms, many flights were canceled. When I arrived at the hotel at about midnight, there were about 60 people in line to check in, many of whose flights had been cancelled, some of us whose flights were late. People were upset, frustrated and sometimes rude. The hotel should have know of this problem and brought on extra help to deal with reception.
