The Forum was a great choice! I looked at several places to stay in OCNJ and decided on The Forum. My biggest reason were the positive reviews for cleanliness and the reviews were very accurate! The morning of our stay I received a text to verify that I was over 25 and some other details (by the way this checked another box on my list, because I didn't want to stay where there were a bunch of kids partying). Digitally signed the document and when we arrived the only thing I had to do was head to the office to show ID. Check-in is not until 4 but, I was told that the room should be ready no later than 3 and they confirmed my cell number and told me I would receive a text that the room was ready and the door unlock code. At 2:50 I received a text that the room was ready. Some reviewers of other locations said the pics on the website did not reflect the room they were getting but, the room I received matched perfectly! I took pics as soon as I was inside so the room looks like the pics minus the bag on the bed. The room was clean and there were plenty of towels. The pool was great! It was very clean and there was more than enough lounge chairs and umbrellas. The Forum is about 1.5 blocks from the boardwalk so all I had to do is park and I could walk to the boardwalk or the shops on Asbury. Even though this is a kid friendly place you could not hear the kids outside or above you for that matter. The beds were comfortable, the water was hot and had very good water pressure. Had a great walk in shower. The rooms were modern. There was a big screen TV in the room and although I didn't need wifi the signal was strong anywhere around the property. As far as parking goes it can be a little tight but, they have an overflow lot which we used that was right across the street from the hotel and it was safe and secure. Some other places I looked at had you parking your car 3 blocks away or, charged you $15.00 to $25.00 a day to park.

The whole facility seems renovated well. There are some old comments saying nothing works or furniture is missing however, fortunately for us this was not the case. We stayed on the first floor in Room 121 and it was clean with everything looking new. All amenities are included (soap, shampoo, towels, hairdryer, microwave, mini fridge.) The room was the perfect distance to our car and their pool. The pool is gated, good size from 3ft deep to 7ft (more or less) deep. There is also a small and separate 1ft splash pool next to the main pool. But the color of that water was yellow and looked pretty dirty. Think twice about going in there. We also appreciated the daily "entertainment" during our stay. One day had Rudy from Lucky Duck Entertainment making balloon animals for kids for a few hours. The next day there was a musician but we just missed him as came back from the boardwalk. Distance to boardwalk was also a big plus - 1 long block distance. We were really happy with this establishment and will certainly come back! Front desk is also very friendly and communicates with you through text (entertainment updates, room requests, etc.) Thank you Anisha!!

Not much to dislike about this resort, but if I had to nitpick - Parking lot is set up so if a car is parked behind you then youre SOL. Hopefully the family behind you left their keys with front desk. This was never an issue for us, but I had some anxiety about it. Their door lock key system is an electronic keypad which isnt as fluid as the traditional keycard system. I'm not opposed to this system, but if it aint broke...

Close to every thing and the room was nice. Kids loved the pool

The people were not the nicest. For instance, i just left ocmd and people treated you like a person and not just $. I felt multiple time in ocmd that the people would try everything they could to help. Here not so much. No breaks were cut even for a 30 minute later check out or beach tags kept a tad longer due to us checking in later. (rooms were close to $500 for a night so i expected better) The tags were given to us later after basically begging and then i was lectured as i brought them back. (even though the desk had plenty of tags sitting there. You dont have to be a rude when something hurt nothing). Especially for the money spent!

great location, clean/modern rooms, pool

-Staff stated at check-in that they don’t honor ‘requests through third parties’ (eg; through booking.com). So our request for an upper floor (made on booking.com) was not honored. -‘stacked parking’ (for some of the parking spots) was not mentioned until after booking. Wouldn’t be a concern, except there was no one at the front desk from 9am-9pm during our weekend there

Clean and nicely decorated. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Nice pool. It was only a block and a half from the beach. Bike rental right next door. Close to entertainment and food.

The air conditioning in the room although working seemed to be struggling to keep the room cool.

They newly updated the rooms. Very comfortable and clean

They installed a sliding door to bathroom area. Door did not slide well, very heavy to pull, no handle on bathroom side so you need another person on opposite side to help you open door to get out of bathroom. Need to rethink door option

The location was great. Our housekeeper, Isabelle, was awesome. The room, although somewhat small, was very clean. Check in and check out was easy.

The parking spots are horrendously tiny. We thought the beds were very uncomfortable. The pool was a great size, but there was SO much hair floating in it (yuck).

It was nice and modern; close to the beach. Brenda’s cafe across the street was great. BreaKfast was great and the service was awesome!

The room was ready but was not as clean so we had to tell the front desk. The front desk person came up to clean the sink and sweep the floor. They were very apologetic and even offered another room.

Great access to the beach, only two blocks away. Food and activities nearby everything is within walking distance. There was an elevator for my elderly mother. The decks were great, I prefer being able to see the ocean so my rooms were perfect. There are decks over the poolside as well.

It was clean and new

Could hear the young child next door crying all night because they is a door separating the rooms and you can hear everything. The tv is not a smart tv and the cable went out all the time while watching sporting events.
