Beds were super comfy, room was clean and the decor throughout the hotel is a nice mix of historic and upscale. We visited on St. Patrick’s Day, and had a blast dancing with the locals in the lounge!

We had a strange experience with the valet, he offered us a Fresh Dog bed and bowls for my dog. I called housekeeping about an hour later and they basically said that they don’t offer this option anymore and we’re trying to take some thing for us. we did not receive the dog bed and bowls, or a follow up call throughout the stay. Not a huge deal, but the communication was strange between the valet and housekeeping. The drinks were good and male bartender very nice. food was mediocre hotel grade.

I requested quiet room of adequate size. Room was on first floor by kitchen on exterior alleyway. Awakened at about 12:30 by loud argument with staff. Then noise in hallway. At 6 am dumpsters for construction immediately across alley were emptied, then heavy machinery for construction. Very tired the next day. Staff very responsive and quickly moved us to an interior room on upper floor. Much better!

Great location and facilities. Breakfast especially good (food and service). The same restaurant for dinner was only average. Helpful staff. Room was efficiently cleaned on request. Parking expensive but very convenient as it is effectively in the same building as the hotel.

Like at many leading hotels, the ground floor common areas have been given over to stores (or to display cases advertising stores). It's a shame when the common areas would otherwise be more pleasant and reflective of the history of the place. There are plenty of great stores in Santa Fe already.

La Plazuela restaurant was below standards. Our reservation was for 7:30 and we arrived at 7:20 and were told the table would be ready in a few minutes. 35 minutes later we were seated. Soup was served lukewarm. Drinks were never served. Waiter said , oh I forgot. Entrees arrived and were not hot either. No offer of dessert. we saw the waiter 3 times in the 90 minutes we were in the restaurant.

Our 5 th floor room had a beautiful view and we even got a glimpse of the sunset. We were very disappointed that the bell tower bar had just closed the day before we got there. The breakfasts at the French Crepery were delicious. The main dining room for dinner was also very good.

I wish the main bar in the lobby had had more food choices. Also was disappointed that there wasn't more information about the hotel itself and what it had to offer. An information packet would have been wonderful and some information about the history would have been great! Also the transportaion from the Santa Fe airport into town is very sketchy at best! Travelers need to warned that the could very well be stranded at the airport on a busy night with no possible way to get into town.

I loved the balcony, and I didn’t expect to have one. Also, the Nescafé coffeemaker was wonderful! Best coffee I’ve ever had in a hotel room.

Can’t think of a single thing.

Returning to stay here - just love this property and you can’t beat the location. A historical hotel with all the amenities!

Unfortunately vacuuming started very early right outside the rooms but I understand you gotta get things done!

Well located. Charming old world decor with nice atmosphere. Clean well appointed rooms. Loved the Nespresso coffee and Tazo teas in the room. Enjoyed the hotel breakfast. We had a nice view and a small terrace to sit on. There is a parking lot right at the hotel which was very convenient.

The rooms are small but comfortable.

Superb locstion right on the plaza made it walkable to restaurants, shopping, museums and other sites. On site restaurant was fabulous. Recommend taking the Loretto Lines open air trolley tour that takes you around the highlights of Santa Fe and departs across the street from La Fonda.

No real concierge or airport/local shuttle service made available.

The Terrace rooms are amazing. Huge room with sitting area and a beautiful bathroom area.

Nothing to dislike.
