Marriott Albany

Booked last minute, due to a medical emergency and return to the airport. The staff were excellent on our arrival and did all they could to help. We had one instance of unhelpful man at the reception concerning using the Navette for the chemist, but apart from that the staff were all amazing, the ladies the the reception desk, Jerry & the Navette staff and another gentleman who helped us with out bags and the cleaner- superb.

The breakfast was expensive and the restaurant was a little expensive too, it would have been nice to have had a microwave in the room, but it wasn't a big deal.

the bar and restaurant had excellent food!! The ambiance was perfect, fireplace, flatscreen tv’s hosting UFC and the Super Bowl. the heated pool was just right for our daughter. there was smoke odor when we got off the elevator! other than that this stay was great. 8/10

smell of smoke in halfway and parking so far from lobby. during winter months it can be challenging when icy.

The location close to the airport is perfect for our needs. The front desk staff are also personable and very helpful. The hotel itself is very good and fits all of our needs.

Nothing stood out that I didn't like. One thing that corporate might address is the Marriott sign at the hotel entrance. I've been coming here for years and still miss it when coming from the airport. The sight line is obstructed.

Friendly professional staff. Very clean room. Food on property was very good and wait staff was helpful as we were in a hurry … ver accommodating.

Outside pool area needs work. No monitoring in the exercise room where very young children were behaving badly and disrespectful of equipment.

What I liked most about the property was the staff member. Her name was Carrie although I don’t know how to spell it but she was working July 24 at 10 PM. She made my husband and 10-year-old son feel so welcome after they had such a horrible experience with two other hotels giving their rooms away even after credit card confirmation. This woman went above and beyond for us. And we highly highly recommend this hotel and think that this hotel staff members should get a raise!

The location was great, near shopping and restaurants but still set back from the main road to give you a sense of privacy. Rooms were were very nice, I would stay there just to use the fancy shower again. Front desk staff was very nice, except that with my initial call to the hotel, I introduced myself and was explaining that I have a reservation and that my family would be getting there first. The person who answered the phone couldn’t wait to talk over and interrupt me to tell me they had no rooms available. When they were looking for my reservation they were rude again talking over me while I was spelling out my name over and over again. This person was unpleasant and a real turn off but the rest of the staff was very professional.

Lack of snack bar/gift shop in the hotel

toilet was for sure plugged and had a very slow flush. Not a dislike, it happens, just letting you know.

Staff was exceptional. Helpful, professional.

Shower only had hot water. Rm 164. Very Disappointed in Internet service. If not for these two would have been perfect.

Super clean, comfy beds, nice room, love the walk in shower, and staff was very nice and accommodating!

Hallways were warm to muggy. And there was occasional airplane flyovers from nearby airport.

Booking thru booking.com staff is unaware that my name may be in system backwards. Was stressed thinking my room wasn't booked.
