We had a room with a jacuzzi tub and two queen beds which made it a very large two balcony room. All rooms have a riverview. Breakfast was very plentiful and delicious. A lot for the cost.

Room maintenance. Three separate windows and all three had a hook missing on the center ends which left the curtains hanging. Put in a request to have them fixed, but only two windows were. Also the two power knobs on the jets to the jacuzzi didn't work. Put in a request on our way home, to have them looked at for the next party, and you have to SLAM the large heavy door in order for it too close.

The location was excellent. There were beautiful views of the marina and St. Lawrence Seaway River . We had three meals in the hotel restaurants which were very good.

The pool was a must for us to book our stay at this hotel. However, the pool was slightly worn, it needed a little TLC. The hot tub was out of order one of the three days during our stay as well.. The pool water was also incredibly cool.. was kind of hoping that it would be a little bit warmer.. our room was very clean yet there were worn things here and there that hopefully will be replaced or updated in the future.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable. The location was very convenient. We were able to walk to places easily, and the sunsets on the river were beautiful.

Although the service at the hotel restaurant was great, the food left much to be desired. Their sandwiches and burgers were decent, and we enjoyed the Pina colada cake. I ordered the chicken Ceasar salad and French onion soup and couldn't finish either one. The soup was barely warm and tasteless, and the crackers served with it were stale. I was able to eat the chicken and anchovies in the salad, but the lettuce leaves were so soggy and wilted that I couldn't eat them.

This hotel was perfectly located…close enough to walk to ‘town’ but far enough away to be quiet. To clarify they offer River View or Castle view…we got castle view and could see the castle from our balcony and this side was quiet. Next time we may try the River view, which seemed to offer a view of the sunsets, but will undoubtedly come with the noise of the town etc. And we really enjoyed sitting at the tiki bar to watch the sunsets!

The only negative was that since out room was on the road end of the hotel, looking down the view was of a dilapidated old boat house. But you could see the Castle and it was quieter! See picture.

The view from the balcony was amazing, the restaurant and bar were very nice, we enjoyed our stay tremendously. We didn't interact with the staff much, only with the cleaning maid who was sweet, very helpful and attentive.

The hotel is old and obviously outdated. As an example, the sliding door to the closet was not fitting on the tracks but it was still functioning with gentle use :-). Despite not being very modern , at least in the sense "modern" is understood when it comes to hotels, the room was functional, adequate and clean, and overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I couldn't say there was anything I "didn't like", honestly.

Breakfast was delicious. Server was very attentive. Good coffee! The room was awesome, beds comfy, balcony view of the castle was perfect. It was very quiet. I think that is the first hotel I have stayed where the floors weren’t carpet and I loved that. I would recommend Riveredge to anyone. It was a special trip for my granddaughter and myself and we thank you.

It was all fine. The pool and hot tub would have been nice after a long day of walking.

Pool needs to be rehabbed. Full size beds are small for 2.

We loved the location of the property being right by the water and Across from the castle. It also had a very nice restaurant inside of it.

For the amount we paid to stay I was under the impression it would have been alot more updated. It looks as if it was a one time a grand hotel. but now a bit old and outdated. the jacuzzi tub was old and the pool was old and a bit rough looking. we also were under the impression there was a nice outdoor pool. also when we stayed the power went out for about 3 hours. I understand you cant control things like that but they did not offer us anything for the interruption we had to stay outside with very little daylight left because our room was pitch black. I just figured for something like that they would offer some type of discount or free breakfast coupon or something to ease the interruption to the night we had planned.

location was wonderful . We really enjoyed the pool and exercise area. The balcony was great. The water pressure in the shower was incredible ; maybe because it was a weekday , but we never had such a great shower in any hotel before.

there was one dirty pillowcase that was odd because everything else was spotless. They could have had more staff because everything was quite a wait but they were certainly gracious

Loved view. Convenient to all shopping and restaurants were good. Employees were very accommodating. We went in early to mid Sept. Be sure to take a boat tour. Check Google for more tours. Uncle Sam's isn't the only one. We took ours in Clayton. We stayed at Rivers edge about 20 yrs when the pool was outside. Great location.

App said continental breakfast. Unavailable to us at our visit ??? idk . Never used pool, dirty !!!! Make sure u bring Clorox wipes and a roll of paper towels. Seriously!!
