Pool needed to be cleaned Tennis courts had weeds growing throughout the cement Gazebos needed to be repainted Property needs to be repainted and some repairs It’s over 50 years old needs some TLC And to see it in poor shape Staff were very friendly

The pools were great, but the outside pool needs boards replaced. The breakfast is alright. The staff are terrific, and take care of you. It is a nice place to stay, it just needs some love and care, and a coat of paint! We will be back! Our grandsons are avid swimmers, and they had a blast with us in the pools! And it is nice to have an evening walk around there.

The room should be cleaned better!! There were cobwebs everywhere! And the rooms need to be repainted and updated. The resort is getting old, and it needs lots of T.L.C.! We were also disappointed that the restaurant was not open, it would have helped because of having the grandsons with us! But they loved all of it!

Although you can not say it is a resort, it is nice to stay with . Nice surroundings, quiet, convenient. room is bigger than a motel one.

Wifi never work.

We have stayed here before, so we knew we liked the location. It provides a very peaceful setting, even on the weekend. It’s very close to the downtown. The price was right.

This motel has need of some updates in it’s outdoor amenities...tables and chairs are very scruffy, pool decking is very worn. The dining room/bar could use a refresh in carpeting and atmosphere.

I have been going here with my family for fifty years. Its a delightful blend of basic and crazy kitsch. The rooms are clean and serviceable. Has both an indoor and outdoor pool. Really hard to find motels with outdoor pools, these days. The pool areas, are so wonderfully tackily decorated its fantastic!! The gift shop as well. Its a real throwback. The decor of the hotel, from its pool grotto to it's cozy Scottish pub in the basement, have not had any upgrades, in decor, since the early seventies. It even has a large "Indigenous Leader" wooden statue in the entrance way. Its all just so bad, its good!! There have only been two owners in fifty tear until now, the place changed ownership during Covid. The new owners seem eager to dismantle a lit of the antiquated decor, not so much for esthetic reasons but all those fake vines and flowers are, apparently, a huge drag to clean!! I can imagine. The restaurant has only been open to tours for the longest time. Which is a shame as both bars and the restaurants have some excellent features, large working fireplaces being one. I've have been in the restaurant business for years and I suggest the new owners turn their dining room over to a young dynamic chef/operator team and allow them to make the most of it. The bar next to the dining room has some real classy features, lots of beautiful wood and an attractive bar. Reminds me of England. The place could be great as Gananoque is such a tourist draw and they could fill up their rooms easily. Place has so much potential and yet even the fact it is staked so firmly in the past does have an incredible charm for me.

There's not much we didn't like. Except it would be great if the restaurant was open for breakfast, at least as well as the bar adjoining the restaurant, at night.

Within walking distance from Ganonoque and the rooms were lovely, clean and pleasant.

The free breakfast was a great addition, but perhaps there could be more to it other than cereal and toast.

Everything, except a few. Unfortunately our bath room sink was not working and the sound of the AC was a bit loud. Tennis court needs a little renovation.

The Continental breakfast was very good. and the parking area and areas to sit outside and relax.

Pillows way to small on the bed. and the floor was sandy and needed a sweeping and mopping. other than that, we were very satisfied and would reccommend it to friends etc.

The receptionist allowed me to change rooms as therewas a home of auntsjust before my door. Earlycheck in was allowed.
