Marriott Melville Long Island

I was wowed by the hotel's design, especially the cruise ship feel of it. The view from the room overlooking the pool was fun, and the room was spacious and had really nice and comfortable appointments. The staff was great, from the front desk to the pool attendant to the restaurant staff and the bellhop, who provided a fun and memorable ride on the cart for my great-nieces, we all loved that. I would highly recommend your hotel to everyone as it can accommodate anyone and provide a great time for all!

No complaints at all, our stay was perfect all the way through.

Actually, there wasn't anything I didn't like. The staff was very professional and friendly. The Valet service was great. I was very happy that I was able to just drop my car off, and walk into the hotel. I loved staying here, and will do so again when I return to visit my hometown (Amityville) again. I loved the shower and the way I was able to turn the shower on where the stall door opened; small convenience, but little things are very much appreciated. The food was wonderful too, but I wasn't able to eat much because of visits I made to relatives. I watched the Marriott television channel for quite awhile. It was fantastic!! All in all, my stay at The Marriott exceeded my expectations!!! Thank you and I'm looking forward to my next visit.

Our 40th Reunion was held at the hotel and was a complete success. We were treated well, the food was delicious, the planner and wait staff were very helpful and pleasant. The rooms were clean and had all of the typical provisions. Refrigerator and coffee makers, hair dryer also provided. The hotel is very nicely decorated and comfortable at the same time. Places to just sit and chat were plentiful. The bar and restaurant had quick, efficient staff who handled both small and large parties of 20 with ease. The brunch on Sunday was also a hit, great omelet station and then eggs, breads, cereal yogurt and pots of coffee if requested. There was a pool that I saw but didn't use. And a workout room with what looked like appropriate equipment. Overall I thought the hotel was a great location, and provided us with whatever we needed.

The soda machine in the hallway was not working and took your $3 for a bottle and no product or signal that the machine was malfunctioning. I am happy that I didn't insert a $20 and had singles, which is rare for me. I tried twice before I gave up as it was late and I just made a cup of coffee to drink instead. But if that didn't happen, everything else during my stay was really nice and enjoyable.

The location of the hotel was fantastic. It was close to a lot of good restaurants and stores. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well. The staff was nice and helpful. The hotel lobby was beautiful and the rooms were nice.

The refrigerator in the room did not get cold enough and all my food had to be thrown away for safety. The room I was given didn’t have any natural light. While the darkness is fine while sleeping, the room is too dark when trying to get ready for the day (I like natural light for makeup). You can hear some of the noise coming from the ballrooms since they were so close to the room “balcony window”, but it was mild.

Friday we arrived Went to eat in the lounge some seat were not cleaned off Service was slow Don’t know why everywhere it was so warm at first so we lowered the air in our rooms before bed woke up in a sweat We went at 6:00 am on Sat to the suite to all get our hair done and pictures it was so Hot We were trying to get dressed for the wedding we all were sweating The hair dresser the photographer was dying too Not a happy place to be to start the day of our grandsons wedding This was for the Riccardi wedding We had no time to go to the desk to really complain all we knew was first floor and 4 th floor was HOT

We were in Long Island for a wedding and this hotel was very clean, staff very accommodating and parking was simple!

You needed a staff member to let you into the pool and the workout room (they said because of Covid), but that was not easy if your room was far from front desk. It was very inconvenient for us and one time, the staff member never came with the key, so my husband didn't use the gym. He was not happy about that.

The room was comfortable. The front desk staff was pleasant and professional. The food from room service was also very good and delivered quickly.

Cleaning staff was loud early in the morning. It was hard to get sleep in the mornings. The bathroom could have been cleaner, the bath mat wasn't usable.

The food was the best we ever had in a hotel. The rooms were spotless. The grandchildren loved the pool,which was warm and spotless. The front desk were friendly and helpful . The best hotel we ever stayed at. Thanks

We liked everything

The rooms were great!.. very clean, comfortable and nice size. Staff was very helpful and kind. There were 3 weddings the weekend we were there, and it was quite loud in the halls. Our room was also right next to the pool, which opened early in the morning...also quite noisy. But overall, I would definitely stay again.

room was newly done; shower nice; spacious room; great restaurant downstairs; good location near highway; superchargers on site

pool was indoor; I like outdoor pools but that's not a deal breaker
