We like the room. We like breakfast.

We came to stay in the hotel for 7 nights after reading good recommendations about the hotel. We asked to be on a high floor as much as possible. When we checked in early in the morning we were given a low floor. We asked the employee at check in to get a higher floor because we knew the noise from the road would be very loud and he claimed there was no other option. We were very disappointed with his attitude. After we returned in the afternoon to get the rooms we were greeted by another employee who easily found us suitable rooms on a higher floor.

Nice rooms with large beds - some of the largest in NYC, good showers, awesome check-in staff, fun bar for nighttime libations (although I wish the bar was open later).

The free breakfast was a nice touch, but the process of getting in there was chaotic. There were huge lines every morning, making it difficult to get in, even on a weekday. We actually skipped it most mornings. The elevators in the morning are basically useless as everyone was trying to get downstairs. One of the elevators was broken and people were trapped inside. Took 10-15 minutes to get downstairs from the 17th floor. We ended up using the stairs.

The hotel is in a good location. Staff is helpful and friendly, and the included breakfast buffet is very good. The room was typical compact Manhattan size, but the beds were high enough to store bags underneath, which was very helpful.

The design of the bathroom was not good. The bathroom door was a sliding door with NO lock. Furthermore, the wall between the shower/bathroom and the rest of the room was semi-see through. So when someone took a shower, everyone in the rest of the room could see that person's silhouette. I have no idea why someone would design a bathroom/shower this way.

none of the breakfast items had allergy labels and it was not clear whether they provided any vegan options other than fruit. breakfast staff were not helpful when asked.

The hotel is big and busy but has plenty of staff to look after you. The rooms are big and clean and the bathroom and shower all worked well. We were lucky enough to have a balcony in our room. The Breakfast is really good they have everything covered and if you need anything (like a cab to the airport or some theatre tickets) then the concierge will look after you well.

The queue for breakfast can take 10 minutes to get sat down but well worth waiting. It looks long but it moves quickly and the staff are efficient and make sure that you do not have to wait too long.

Location is perfect for a visitor to Manhattan with short walks to many attractions, with Times Square / Broadway almost on your doorstep. Hotel was modern, well presented and clean with a nice cocktail bar and a handy mini-deli off of reception. Rooms are well cleaned with good sheets on a comfy bed and towels. Breakfast is excellent and plentiful.

Rooms are a little small and although the shower room is a decent size and has a good sized and quality shower (no bath), it follows the trend of an opaque glass wall and sliding glass door rather than a a real partition wall and solid door which I prefer. Although the the breakfast queue moves fairly quickly, at peak times it has to be split away to avoid clogging the lobby lift area.

Everything about this hotel, location, cleanliness, staff, and the all you can eat varied breakfast included in our room rate….BUT what let this hotel down is absolutely NO coffee tea or even hot water provision in the rooms. Found that very unusual and struggled to get past that which is why I have scored 9. Everything else fabulous
