Holiday Inn Express & Suites Tonawanda - Buffalo Area, an IHG Hotel

When my husband & I checked in, there was a woman & 2 men who were absolutely wonderful! They were professional & kind. We loved our room & it was so clean!

At 6AM when my husband came down for coffee, it was not ready & the younger male employee was sleeping at the table. He had to come back & when he did, the coffee was cold & gross. Then upon check out, the same male employee was cold & there was a problem apparently with our card & then he did apologize saying it was his fault. Wasn't pleasant with check out but because of check in & our room, we would try once again to stay.

Our room was very clean and the beds were extra comfortable. We used the pool and workout facilities while we stayed as well and we were very happy with the cleanliness of both. We got a great nights sleep since this is just a few miles from the airport and there was no outside noise at all.

The only negative thing we experienced was that the oven had broken so the hot breakfast did not include eggs, bacon or sausage. The rest of the breakfast made up for it though and things happen so thats why overall I gave it a 9 out of 10

The staff, the manager was amazing. Due to covid and no one wanting to work she was under staffed. The manager was cleaning rooms, answering the phone, checking people in and serving breakfast. She needs a bonus!!!!!

The room was dirty when we checked in. Noodles on the floor, ketchup on the floor. We did not complain because the manager and staff were doing all they could. Their was also a wedding or something going on. We have small kids and could not sleep due to noise. The banging and yelling stopped about 2 am but started back up at 7 am the entire weekend we were their. We called down and complained about noise and told staff when we left but still did not help.

The room was not very clean. We did not notice at first. But then we discovered some sticky material on one section of the floor. Under the bed , there was a lid of a bottle. There was also no hair dryer in the bathroom then we asked the management and one lady from the hotel management came and gave one. Same thing happened with coffee cups and condiments like sugar and cream. The breakfast was good on both mornings that we were there but there was only one employee working there. For him/her it was very rush even with small number of hotel guests. I will not hold that against the employee though.

The location and breakfast. The size of the rooms. There are plenty of restaurants within two to three miles. Walking distance to an ice cream shop.

The traffic on Niagara Falls Blvd can get pretty busy. But, my hotel stay was wonderful.

The location is excellent. Restaurants are walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is very well maintained and clean. Our stay was quiet and peaceful. In terms of the room, exactly as it is described on the page with all the amenities and it is spacious. Our room included a fridge and microwave which were very useful to store food and drinks. Bathroom was big, bright and clean. Excellent water pressure. Breakfast was also very good but would have liked to see more options such as bagels or pancakes. It was a pack and go box which is understandable due to covid. Overall, one of the best hotels I have stayed at till date.

More options for breakfast would have been nice. It would have also been good if guests can pack their own breakfast but we do understand the pack and go option is due to covid and for everyone's safety.

Nice and friendly staff. Moesha at front desk went above and beyond to accomadate or extra needs. We had an issue with wifi and came up to our room and helped us alongside some other stiff. It was a very clean hotel inside and out. The beds and pillows are super comfortable. We made a great choice staying there and good breakfast too.

Only thing I didn't like was trying to figure out the electrical switchesl in the room everything else was great.

Breakfast was very good. We were going to Riviera Theater which was very close to hotel. Young man at front desk was very helpful in giving us directions. Any staff we came in touch with were friendly and very accommodating.

The Hotel was great clean super friendly staff my only compliant is there is no sound proofing. We could hear everything down the hall, above us and outside.

People were friendly & helpful. Location was convenient. Rooms were clean.

Supplies, like soap, were scarce. Probably not their fault but due to supply chain problems. Would love see gluten free options at breakfast
