Holiday Inn Express Poughkeepsie, an IHG Hotel

the bed was comfortable and parking was convenient. located close enough to go back into Poughkeepsie for necessities versus having to drive down 9.

This is my second stay in 30 days both times my room key just stopped working! The first time was treated as a one off now it is bothersome as I do sometimes come in later and it’s annoying to be locked out of the building and room and them have to walk to reception to get it reset. Please get to the root of this problem.

Price was good and lobby area very nice and clean. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Close to downtown restaurants and Culinary Institute of America (purpose of trip). The staff was very nice. They had a better breakfast than most hotels in the same price point.

The hallway by the back door could have been a bit better (cleanliness), but didn't impact the rest of the good things about the hotel. There was a large group of student athletes there at the time, so they may have been in and out of the back door, which is probably why the corredor wasn't as clean as it could have been.

In spite of dated room furniture it was a very clean room. The buffet breakfast was good selection of items and well stocked. The staff were excellent, polite and attentive. It was a convenient, easy to find location.

It was clear that it was an older location. The hotel was being updated while we were there. Some hallways had poly taped up and workers tools around where they were remodeling. It wasn't overly noisy where we were but it made is less visually pleasant with remodeling occuring around guests.

Staff was very friendly…especially Sabrina at the front desk. She has a great personality and was very welcoming and pleasant. There was an issue with my reservation and she was extremely helpful in getting it resolved.

I booked through booking.com and there was no record of my reservation upon my arrival. Made a phone call to booking.com and the issue was resolved rather quickly. Was a little disappointed for the inconvenience though.

We enjoyed the breakfast and we thought Nicole did an excellent job keeping on top of things and making sure everyone had what they needed!

My only disappointment was the the bathroom sink area. I had to keep my toiletries and hair equipment on the floor. It wasn’t very functional.

At first I thought I booked the wrong hotel but to my surprise there was another holiday inn express in poughkeepsie glad I found this one

Wasn't much not to like it was clean new modern comfortable friendly staff when out of there Way To make people happy. Is great breakfast included

very clean in room and within hotel staff fast and efficient liked that maids did not enter the room until we checked out loved 24-7 coffee

omelets we’re cold I was on the 4th floor near boiler room. I heard door slam twice at 3am. I don’t know if it was someone in the boiler room or a guest. Annoyed at lack of consideration.

The staff is friendly and available and the check-in was fast and smooth. The room was big and the bed very comfortable.

The breakfast was good but with not a lots of choice on the sweet part. Though, the pancakes machine is definitely a plus

We were close to the door so it’s not the room’s fault, but the cigarette smoke from outside did kind of migrate. It was also a bit of a hefty price but all in all was worth it

Good location. Staff very helpful and friendly.

The toilet in my room was a little temperamental. Also, I was unable to put the AC on a setting to have the fan on all the time. No matter what the setting, it worked on auto.
