The hotel is nicely designed. Little touches like a heater in the bathroom were good. Nice towels. As advertised the breakfast is standard continental, cold cereals, some not great pastries, etc. Good coffee though! Lovely views of Peconic Bay from the breakfast area. Rooms are spacious and have a kind of mini-kitchen so good for families. They give you passes for the beaches, and towels, which is great.

Overall the stay was pretty good. The sound proofing isn’t great. I could hear the footsteps of the people above us walking around their room. If you are a light sleeper maybe ask for a top floor room. Breakfast leaves a bit to be desired- the pastries seemed grocery store quality. The rooms are stylish and functional, but not warm/inviting. The front desk was friendly but didn’t give us much info about the area, even when asked. For example many restaurants are closed on Wednesdays which left us scrambling to find a place to eat, but the front desk didn’t mention that when we asked for recommendations. An informational binder/booklet in the room would do the trick. Little things like that are not a big deal, but the place isn’t cheap so customer service stuff really matters.

The room was spacious and beautiful, and the continental breakfast was of exceptional quality (lots of fresh fruit, berries, yogurt, high quality baked goods); there’s also a barista on staff to make you a real latte or cappuccino which was a welcome touch. The location right on the water was lovely, and the fire pit was a nice touch (watch out when it’s windy).

There’s no sidewalk, so if you want to pop over to the place next door for seafood (which to be fair is meh at best but I arrived quite late after a long drive and was being pragmatic) you have to walk on the side of the road in an area where this seems to cause suspicion. It would be nice to extend the boardwalk area a bit so travelers could stretch their legs and enjoy the view without taking their lives into their hands.

The breakfast was delicious; muffins, granola, yoghurt, bagels, fruit, was healthy and generous. Coffee and tea of course. I did not, however, see that they had decaf. And cream cheese would have been good for the bagels. Perhaps I just didn’t see it. Beautiful landscaping, great views.

The room tv was mounted too high, so if you were sitting, and were of average height you had to keep your neck craned to watch. The bed was ultra comfortable, but the bedroom dimensions were tight.

Property was beautiful right off the water at the marina.

The furniture inside the room was uncomfortable, not the beds they were wonderful. The couch and chairs and coffee table were modern and not at all comfortable to sit on. The chairs in the main hotel area where you can get breakfast are also uncomfortable, nothing inviting about metal kitchen chairs to sit on.

First of all, Taylor was so welcoming and proud of the New Shoals establishment. The place had such a wonderful, nautical luxurious vibe. The room was expertly appointed and the amenities were excellent. The view and the rustic feel in/near a marina was a plus. I can't wait to go back in the summer for the food truck and Oyster Happy Hour!

Everything was just amazing!

Breakfast was great, breakfast facility was nice, no crowding, rooms were private and convenient, it was easy to get staff attention when needed. Easy to find, I like that it was boat accessible as well.

The walls between units could be insulated better. I was able to hear muffled conversation.

Greenport is a quaint and charming town. The Inn was in a great location, as it sits on the Marina, next to a great restaurant, and just 5 mins from the heart of Greenport and about 5 mins from the heart of Southold, both of which offer lots of cool shops, breweries, wineries, farms and restaurants (more so in Greenport than Southold) We've gone to this Inn for years when it was called Heron Harbor Inn & Suites. It's ALWAYS been a great and consistently enjoyable stay. But now, as Shoals, after having been completely remodeled, it's FABULOUS!!! We will definitely go back. Hopefully, after spreading the word & leaving a great review, we will actually still be able to get a room. LOL

The hotel was clean and in a great location!

We loved all of the extra detail like the Adirondack chairs looking over the water and Most rooms had a nice outdoor seating area. They had a nice coffee and breakfast set up in the morning and the hotel was overall well designed and a very nice stay. For those who like yoga they even do a morning yoga class by the water!

We loved the location and all the details that went into the room.. Frette sheets and towels that no one does is great!! One of the Best sleep I ever had on a mattress !! Extremely happy with everything!

It was great. Typical continental breakfast with croissants, muffins, fruits, coffee, tea, juice, and yogurt.

Our card key didn't work an hour before checkout and delayed us. The front desk reset our card but it didn't work and we had to go back and redo it again. The second time they gave us a new card and came with us. That resolved the issue.
