Staff were friendly and helpful. Having the self serve laundry is great when traveling with a toddler. Great location and good breakfast. Coffee (lots of options) was available all day to fill up. Beds and pillows were soft and comfy. Room was spacious. We had the salt water pool area mostly to ourselves. The toddler pool and water slide were a perfect size for our little one. We saw a sign before using the pool that it’s currently in the process of being updated so we kept that in mind. We were still able to swim and enjoy it.

There’s a lot of rust in the pool area (doors, some fixtures) due to the salt water. Didn’t affect swimming, and these are probably part of the updates.

The staff was friendly and my kids loved the pool area. It’s not a water park but to them it may as well have been. Our room was clean.

One thing we noticed was that in the evening when all the doors were closed in the pool area the chemical smell limited the duration of our pool time. We resorted to going in the morning or early afternoon when staff had propped open a door and it was 1000 times better. We really appreciated that. If I had to be particular I’d say the pool area could use some love and the staircases in the hotel could use a vacuum.

From the moment we arrived it was a peace of mind. The girls that confirmed our reservation were beyond helpful and so friendly! We needed a room close to the breakfast area and pool, we requested ahead of time. The girl I talked to at check in remembered talking to me and gave us the PERFECT ROOM! Very Accessible! We were so pleased, since my husband has trouble and uses a walking stick, for balance. Our daughter is special needs and it was extremely easy for her to get back and forth to our room. No complaints, we told this very sweet person we would come back again. Our trip up for a family members wedding was stressless thanks to her! ❤️ We will always stay at LaQuinta in Grand Forks when in GF.

The employees are friendly & efficient and the cleanliness of the hotel are the biggest draws. A nice surprise after the concert was 2 smiling employees greeting us in the lobby with complimentary water & cookies. Not too mention, the property is within walking distance to the concert venue. The friendly & busy manager could be found helping at the front desk at check in, helping at breakfast the next morning & cleaning floors as we left. He’s someone who cares about the business & the people he serves.

The front desk staff at check-in were friendly, professional and very helpful. The front desk staff at check-out were the exact opposite. Charging more for the room then our confirmed reservation which I had a copy of at check out. Caused us to have to preoceeed with claim with Booking.com who assisted us and rectified the matter. Extremely disappointed as we usually expect our check-out expenses to be what was agreed upon. If you use this hotel watch your bill like a hawk. On the good side facility was nice and clean and accomodations were quitre statisfactory

Front desk check out staff and problems honoring the confirmed reservation price. Attempted to overcharge significantly and had to use booking.com to rectify.

Staff were super friendly. Location was nice as well. The only items I flagged to staff I ping check out was bathroom outlets not working, centre light in bathroom not working and one blown bulb being out of order in centre light stand. Otherwise, all was good.

Pool facilities were great.

Some of the laundry washers smelled horribly, the should perhaps run a bleach clean cycle every so often to help keep them clean. In terms of breakfast of Hyatt places, it was a 3 of 5 in my opinion most of it was packaged food not fresh like fruit salad, potatoes, bacon etc. The food wasn’t bad or not “prepared” or handled properly but it’s the difference of getting a burger at McDonalds or a burger at 5 guys.

It was clean and comfortable. The staff was kind and congenial.

The staff was very sparse in the morning at the breakfast room and the food was not adequately replenished, nor was the trash emptied so that one could dispose of their trash.

The hotel staff was great. Breakfast was better then most. The room was a great size for my family of 6. Loved that the room had 2 TVs.

The stay would have been perfect if only two key things were done. First is cleaning the room.. under the pull out couch was absolutely disgusting. There was old food and crumbs under the bed. And behind the dresser had food wrappers. Second was the pool. There was so many chemicals as soon as you walked into the pool area your throat was burning. All of my children and myself got chemical burns. We were only in the pool about 20 minutes. Don’t dare accidentally get pool water on your mouth or in your eyes as it is the worst burning you’ll ever feel.

Room was clean and spacious. Overall property was nice and looked well cared for. We didn’t use the refrigerator as we weren’t in the room much aside from sleeping but that is a nice amenity available. Hotel is in perfect walking distance to the Alerus Center which has a decent restaurant and a casino/lounge area with a bar, pull tabs, and blackjack. Pretty easy Uber ride or drive to any other locations around town.

My only complaint is the breakfast was a little sparse. Got there around 9 and the hours stated it would be open until 10, but several food options were gone and not refilled during the half hour or so we were there.
