Baymont Inn & Suites

Chrissy was super friendly and extremely helpful!!! She made our stay fun and comfortable! She quickly took care of my requests for extra towels (which I unfortunately had to use to clean up a flooded floor later...) and for extra sugar and cream for coffee.

I required a walk in shower, which was available, however it flooded the entire bathroom floor. Used all the extra towels to clean up the flooding... Also you really need to provide more sugar and cream as well as coffee in rooms. I get that there's breakfast available but I just want a couple of cups of coffee.

I rode my motorcycle for a small getaway to cruise around Wayne National Park. It was a perfect location to easily get to the roads I wanted. The staff was awesome, the gentleman that checked me in was professional and I was earlier than the rush, so he was able and asked me my preference on what floor and I had questions about the area and without hesitation, he took the time to give me recommendations to what I was looking for. I use to travel for work and I wake insanely early. In the past, if I needed something in the middle of the night ( coffee packs for the room) I could never find the employee. In this hotel, I went to the counter at about 4am and the employee was right at the desk and was happy to help.

Ok, so this is a good hotel for the price. Yes, it is a lower cost hotel so of course it is not a luxury hotel. I could tell that they are maintaining it the best they can.

I stayed at this property many times a few years ago, it seemed cleaner this trip and better maintained but....

.....this location used to have a very good breakfast with several hot protein options such as eggs, bacon and/or sausage. This time however the only protein option was a prepackaged frozen breakfast sandwich that had to be microwaved. Very disappointing. I also seem to remember the bed being more comfortable last time but I've gotten used to lesser expensive hotels having firm and uncomfortable beds.

Rooms were surprisingly clean and in good shape considering the low cost of the room. The remote was missing a battery but we went to the front desk and they gave us more. And napkins as we needed them for our take in meal. Really enjoyed looking out the window to a green yard and trees. First view I've had in a hotel that wasn't some type of concrete or pavement in a long, long time. Breakfast was typical for these days. Pastries/cereals and frozen sandwiches to heat up. Could have been better but could have been worse.

It would have been nice if the restaurant/bar was open but I understand they are looking for someone to lease/reopen it. We ended up walking across the street to the restaurant in the Quality Inn. Would have been nice if we could have just walked across the road that wasn't very busy that time of evening. But there were fences so we had to walk 3 times as far to get around them. A gate in the middle would be helpful, though opening the restaurant in this hotel would be best. Pool was closed, as is also typical these days. We didn't want to use it anyways but for those that do, know it's closed.

This property was nicely priced compared to other nearby properties. Room was clean/beds comfortable/large flatscreen TV was nice. Good location with nearby attractions, food and shopping. Continental breakfast/frozen breakfast sandwiches, breads, cereals and coffee. Overall good stay.

The old stained smelly carpet overshadows the actual cleanliness of the property.

Love the location. All rooms are 2 room suites with a TV in the living room and bedroom, microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and small sink in the "kitchen" area. Nice indoor pool. Complimentary delicious breakfast buffet and evening cocktails. Friendly, helpful staff. Everything is always very clean and we'll taken care of. Within walking distance to the Civic Center, mall, multiple restaurants and shops. It's our favorite place to stay in Charleston!

No hot tub.

The window view of the scenery outside the breakfast room is wonderful. I also prefer the carpeting throughout, compared to cold laminate floors. Clean, quiet rooms, and with the gas station, a retail plaza across the street, Starbucks on my way out, and the interstate a couple lights away, it's in a very convenient spot at an affordable rate.

Probably time to expand the breakfast lineup to what it's been in the past. "Free (hot) breakfast" is half the fun of hotel stays - convenient too.

No breakfast due to COVID-19, not an issue for me. The location was convenient. The room was clean and ready for me when I arrived. The shower was good, plenty of hot water and decent water pressure. The air conditioner worked to my satisfaction.

The shower in the room above mine leaked. Not just a little. Normally I would be angered but really, everything else was so good, I didn't hit too hard about this. I was more upset that there was no one at the front desk to let me check out in the morning. I waited a couple of minutes, checked the office, and asked the people in the dining area if they were employees. Was a pleasant stay overall.

no bread for toast no donuts no oatmeal no fruits

had to wait 20 minutes to get my receipt because no one was at front desk. i guess he must went to the bathroom. i past him when i finished my breakfast. went to front counter and waited 20 minutes to check out. unacceptable!!!!!

The property was nice and clean. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable.

I was disappointed that the pool was closed with no notice. Also, according the the map I saw the hotel was closer to the concert venue we visited but in reality it was a bit further than the 2 blocks I expected. It wasn’t a big issue, the drive wasn’t that far and parking was easy to access.
