Hampton Inn and Suites Salem

The rooms were great! The beds were firm.The staff at the front desk were very nice and welcoming. The pool was great.

A short lady working in the breakfast serving area was rude and made us uncomfortable.

The breakfast is a big reason we stayed there. :) We stayed at this Hampton in last summer and my daughter was so excited about the waffles she talked about it all year. I also like that they had some vegetarian options.

I was very disappointed to hear that I can't earn Hilton points for reservations through Booking.com. That information is not shared at the time of booking, which creates a bad customer experience at check-in. I'm unsure what Hilton has to gain by not offering that and it just drives very customer dissatisfaction.

I felt very comfortable in this room and it is one of the quietest hotels I've stayed in. I liked having the mini-kitchen, the shower was great and the bed was comfortable. I opted out of having housekeeping clean the room during my stay, but the room was very comfortable and easy for me to keep clean. I'd stay here again.

Nothing. I would have preferred seeing more masks (in April, Covid rates were high where I was coming from, and who knows where other guests were from), but there was no mask requirement, so that's not the hotel's fault.

The King Suite is a massive, long-term setup for business travelers by the design of it. Huge desk in the center of the room with plenty of table soace of everything you would use for the job, with enough power outlets and ethernet access points to power it all. Big, cofty king bed plus a very large sofa that is actually a pullout bed as well. Little kitchenette area, and even a proper closet. I just stayed one night, but I could see one or two business travelers comfortably staying here for a week or more easily

Its really impressive, nothing to dislike here.

They had a breakfast bar where you made your own Belgium waffles served with all the great condiments. Kid friendly. Lots of options in the bar. If we go back to Salem, I would stay there again.

Our king suite was so great! Huge room with a workspace big enough for 2...or maybe 4! Huge tv, living area, wet bar, and big comfy be were great. We were only here for a night but could have stayed longer and gotten tons of work done with the speedy wifi and workspace setup. Conrad at the front desk was super helpful, printing out some document for me and having them right away at the front desk.

The breakfast was kind of what you'd expect for a free buffet. Nothing exciting but still fine.

Breakfast was really good. Once, there was a frittata that was outstanding. Liked the room layout a lot, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was nice. The hotel was really quiet. And I swam every day. Front desk was really good. Very service oriented and pleasant.

Personally, I don't like drinking out of a paper cup, especially if we treat ourselves to a bottle of wine, but you can see I had to think hard to find something I didn't like! Also, the bathroom is a little dark.

This hotel was very comfortable and clean. Special shout out to Tena at the front desk who gave us a lot of info on Hilton hotels. Breakfast was great, lots of food choices.

All the kids everywhere. Someone was stomping above us at night, it sounded like kids jumping around. It was past 9 or 10pm. Not the hotels fault. But some people are inconsiderate and can’t control their kids.

The room was clean and the staff was welcoming. The hotel was easy to find. The beds were comfortable.

The breakfast was a little limited. This is COVID, I get it. But is you are going to have self serve waffle makers you need both of them to be working. Only having 1 or 2 in action and having a 2 and a half minute cook time means that a large line formed for waffles. This had a cascading effect that packed the rest of the room with people blocking other food. Ultimately this helped lead to people waiting, tightly packed, in the serving area. You may be better off precooking waffles and expanding your number of toasters.
