Holiday Inn Express & Suites Salem North - Keizer, an IHG Hotel

Very clean and new facility, everything was modern in our room and throughout the building. We liked the layout and convenience of the luggage storage and mid room micro/refrig placement, good design. The pool was small but worked and we were luck to have it all to ourselves. Location is great as there is almost every kind of food and shopping within walking distance.

The door to the pool was over sprung and slammed shut, unfortunately our room was somewhere above it, also the corridor between the pool and the hall was ice cold. No room service on a two night stay, that was okay but we did have to ask for more towels and we had to take out our own garbage, no big deal. They had a large political rally at a nearby stadium, we almost canceled our stay because were didn't feel safe. Glad they cleared out before our arrival.

Love the location for our purposes of visiting family and shopping needs, restaurants etc First night was outstanding in every way.

2nd night the new neighbors had kids literally running, wrestling and screaming and making all kinds of noise from rolling something against our adjoining door and trying to open it. I have never called the front desk on anyone before. It took 3 calls to get someone to address the situation…🙁 That was at 8:00 pm! I learned never to stay in an adjoining room situation again.

Nice property

No early check in. Had to wait 2 1/2 hours to check in, then when we tried to check in 15 minutes to 4 pm it seemed like we were putting the staff out. Then when we were going down the hallway to our room the staff cleaning rooms radios were going off about people bothering to check in early, they should be more careful about who is listening.

The property is easy to get to, very new, clean, and well kept. There were many restaurants in close proximity and shopping areas if needed during our stay. We especially enjoyed our meals at Hops and Drops and also Outback.

Unfortunately, while the hotel is wonderful, staff was very friendly and so on task, as we were leaving the property, we heard about 4 gunshots and then a police car race by soon after. There is absolutely nothing the hotel or staff could do about that so not their fault at all. It’s just the unfortunate climate that the Portland and surrounding areas are in right now.

Comfortable, clean and spacious. This place is 3 years old and an absolute pleasure to stay at. The bedrooms are modern and clean. Beds are comfy. Breakfast is the cherry on top! Pool was also decent. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION.. SO MUCH STUFF NEARBY, from places to eat to places to shop. Overall a 10/10.

Great breakfast, nice staff, very nice and clean rooms bathrooms or top notch lighting is really nice everything is high end and clean and you cannot hear the people in the next room snoring! Definitely recommend and will be staying here again!

Location, close to restaurants and shopping.

I booked a room for 9 days added on 2 extra days for total 11 and I would think i could got a good discount for the amount of days booked. This is my second time booking this hotel. Last time stayed 7 days. Spent allot of money on room we only slept in for few hours a nite.

The breakfast was ever so delicious. Lots of breakfast items. Biscuits and gravey and oatmeal was truly amazing. Home made cinnamon rolls hot out of the oven!! The rooms are spacious and the beds are beyond comfortable!! The black out shade is a super nice addition. The freeway is a bit noisy so I would ask for a room on the other side of the freeway.The staff couldn't be nicer!! Very professional , kind and fun!!

Freeway noise and all the In and Out burger traffic but they have traffic officers for it.

I booked on line but when I wanted to make a change I was told I had to deal with bookings.com to make changes but the bookings site would not allow any changes. I wanted to go from two people to one and change from a king bed to a queen and save some money. Hotel would not help and my change was not one of the option on bookings. Very frustrating and absolutely no one to speak to on bookings. They did not respond to my chat request either.

Very nice stay. Recommend if you need a place for a night or two. Lots of restaurants nearby. Panera Bread in the parking lot.

Request a room on the opposite side from the freeway. It was a little noisy but I had earplugs so it didn’t keep me up.
