Comfort Inn Troutdale-Portland East

I choose this location because that is where I want to be. The motel is always clean, the food is more than adequate and the staff is exceptional!! The location gives easy access to any direction you may want to go. The rooms are adequate and the breakfast is adequate with a fair price. Most of all the staff is always friendly and helpful. The young lady that was there most of the time was very prompt at taking care of things and was very good about acknowledging people if she was busy with someone else. She was also great about making sure she got done with what she was doing and getting to the people that needed attention. She was always pleasant no matter what went on. She worked longs hours and was still very gracious with everyone.

The sink drain in room 126 needs cleaned out as the water backed up and took quite some time to drain. I meant to tell the front desk and forgot to mention it. All in all, everything was great and I will continue to stay there.

I really appreciated the kindness of the staff. The breakfast options changed everyday and were always fresh and hot. For once the housekeeping staff were not afraid of my pit bull service dog. Over all it was a pleasant experience and I would do it again.

They are in the process of getting the door locks replaced because they are old and no longer work well. It takes several swipes from the key card to get the door open frequently. We found pulling the door tightly against the door frame and then swiping often helped minimize this issue.

Breakfast option was sufficient and varied enough for a 4 night stay. Staff were always helpful. Price seemed competitive. Loved the location. I really like a sink outside the bathroom!!!

-Everyday our room key would stop working and the card had to be re-set by the front desk. -There isn't daily room cleaning, but because of our 4 night stay we set it up for day 3... but no one showed up... finally we asked for at least clean towels... -Size of room and location of air conditioner meant literally 1 foot between one bed and the air flying across the bed. Not real comfortable.

excellent motel for its class. bed was very comfortable!! better than at higher end resort. close to columbia gorge entrance. breakfast scrambled eggs were tasty. clean, comfortable, modern bathroom, reliable stay. good location. receptionists were friendly and paying attention. we had trouble with our card key not working Amy was on the. ball, she had seen our trouble watching hall video's for safety, so she knew why I returned to desk before I said anything. so management should be very appreciative of her attentiveness. she was very friendly and thorough with all her communication. close to nice restaurants in town,

Staff was friendly, location is great, breakfast was great!

The bathtub has a slant to it and there was nothing to help with footing on the bottom of the tub and no grab bars. Therefore my shower experience was sketchy as I have mild balance issues and felt like I was falling. Thankfully I didn't fall, but I feel like a grab bar or tub mat at the very least would be helpful. Also, I'm not sure what was causing this issue, detergent perhaps, but once I climbed into bed I started itching and became a little wheezy. I had to use my inhaler and I didn't sleep well at all. Every time I left the room I was fine.

The desk staff was absolutely amazing . Through no fault of their own, our truck camper was stolen from the parking lot about 3:00am. We know the time since this hotel has an excellent security camera system. The staff were very sympathetic to our problem and went to great lengths to help us. They even offered to comp us a room for the night if we had to stay in town longer. Fortunately we did get our rig back later in the morning and were able to continue our trip. We would definitely stay with these great people again!! PS, the breakfast was very good although I didn’t have much appetite!!

Location was great, since we came up to visit Multnomah Falls. You have a pet area for my dog. The staff was friendly.

Need hooks in the bathroom for robes. The card for the TV remote indicated you needed to push 'guide' button to get the channel guide, but there was no 'guide' button on the remote. We finally just needed to hit a channel and found the channel guide on channel 1. Mostly, though, we brought our dog with us and stayed for 2 nights. But we got charged twice. I'll be taking that up with the hotel directly.

Exceptional service. Special kudos to Aimee for the blanket and battery! Made my sleeping so much better, warmth _and_ blocking out noise of my husband watching TV. Also, Donala at the front desk. Very helpful in all my interactions.

One star off for cleanliness. The room was clean, but the recycle hadn't been emptied, and there was a towel hanging on the hook on the back of the bathroom door. It was unclear whether the towel was clean. In an otherwise fantastic stay, these oversights stuck out.

The rooms were clean and the breakfast area was always maintained. The front desk employee Christina was very kind and considerate, she did a fantastic job.

I don't think much of anything I didn't like. It was a little older but it was clean and that's all that really matters to me. Maybe a few more luggage carts would be nice.

The location is right outside of Portland and close to Columbia Gorge Scenic highway. Very quiet place with nice and safe town across the highway for good food, and also an outlet just 5 minutes away. Highly recommend for people who want to avoid the chaos in the city.
