The hotel is gorgeous, it’s the old train station, and the architecture has been beautifully preserved. The rooms are pretty standard hotel rooms. They have good WiFi. There’s a fridge and coffee maker, with coffee supplied. The bed was comfortable. The shower was very good, great water pressure, nice towels, hair dryer, and complimentary bath products. The hotel was quiet and restful. The front desk staff were very courteous, friendly and helpful. There’s a cool looking bar and a restaurant in the lovely historic atrium. The room cleaning / restocking coffee and amenities seemed a bit on the random side, as one morning I found only decaf coffee, but the front desk helped out. The hotel has an airport shuttle which I didn’t use.

Great staff for the most part. I wish they were more flexible about letting customers choose the exact rooms they want. Actually they are pretty good about that but the employee i deaklt with really didnt know the location of the rooms very well even after looking at the map book they have of the rooms.
I have stayed her roughly 5 times over the last 7 years. I love the place and the location. One MAJOR improvement would be if they would finally clean the outsides of the windows. Such a nice view out alot of the rooms especially trackside. But the windows seem to have not been cleaned in a very long time.

The building is an old train station converted to a fairly modern hotel. You can appreciate the original style and architecture of the building while enjoying modern facilities.
AT one point, when filling the tub for a bath, the water turned brown. It cleared after a while but they still obviously have a problem with infrastructure in the old building. The in-room coffee service was strikingly inadequate and while the coffee shop in the lobby had decent coffee, the food offerings were dreadful. Stale, cellophane wrapped pastries and muffins were inedible and overpriced. They can do much better in this area.

Beautiful building, with easy access to the highway. Having onsite food and drink options available was a real plus as I was traveling in unpleasant wintery weather. I would definitely stay here again for a visit in the spring to explore the surrounding area. Check in/check out was easy and desk staff friendly.
Room on second floor was very quiet until people checked in next door very late night/wee hours of morning - the odd time of arrival seemed to be weather-related, so I understand, but basic action of people entering a room and getting settled brought a lot of noise into my room. And since I was getting up early to travel in a snowstorm it was quite a disruption.

It was a last minute reservation; I made it an hour earlier; only stayed overnight; didn't have breakfast had to leave. The receptionist was delightful. But what really impressed me was the hotel. It has Biltmore hotel charm, look and feel. The bathroom hallway and closet floors were beautiful marble and well as the bathroom sink. The faucet was gold (not real I'm sure but beautiful) and ivory The furniture and drapery were beautiful and elegant; just as advertised but it looks even better when you're actually there and I just had a single bedroom. This will be my go-to hotel when and if I ever go back to Scranton or nearby. I honestly wanted to stay a bit longer because of the accommodation. Superb

The hotel is spectacular. It is in the old station building and has been renovated to perfection. There was a wonderful bar where you could have a meal as well as a restaurant in the foyer of the station. The architecture was stunning. Our room was clean but small. However, the furniture was in good condition and made our stay comfortable. Location was great for Steam Town and downtown Scranton. The staff were friendly and approachable.
The smallness of the room and bathroom made it tricky to manoeuvre at times. I think the hotel could have offered guests free coffee and muffins in reception. Guests have to make their own arrangements for breakfast but to offer a little bit more hospitality would be welcomed.

This hotel is an architectural and historical gem. Beautiful tile murals, tiffany glass ceilings, marble floors and walls, and beautiful details inside and out. Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when I realized I made a booking mistake. They were very accommodating. They also helped us when booking.com provided me a confirmation number that extended my stay, but the hotel did not receive the change request from them. They provided a room to us at the last minute and at a very reasonable rate.
We had an inside view room overlooking the lobby, and it was a little dark, but I liked that we had a private balcony, which provided some extra room for us to stretch out and relax.

I've stayed before and every time had been a good experience. Easy check in and out. Rooms are comfortable and clean. Priced good. Would have given a great, but those pillows were cheap and uncomfortable
I brought my 5lb dog and paid the 75 plus tax fee per night. That fee is a bit steep. I always travel with her and have either not paid extra or paid up to 50 per stay in other hotels. Therefore, to be charged 75 plus per night, I found it very expensive. Especially since she is my therapy dog. You have to do better than that price!

Feiendly staff! The elevator sure is nice Location The room is clean, but not scrubbed The view
Because it was a very cold night (-1C/32F) we had to turn on the heat and it was extremely loud. As in, during the night, the second it automatically started pushing hot air I woke time each time. I heard all the conversations, sneezes, bed and floor squing from the people staying in the room above ours. The water in the toilet was not clean (problems with the tap water maybe?) The room needs improvements regarding the door (scrached, you can see it s old), the window is old and needs repainting around it, and to our surprise, we couldn’t move the drapes (there are two long drapes that could make the whole room dark, but they are just for decor on each side of the window).

I picked a hotel online in the area based on price and convenience. I expected the usual chain hotel. Drove past this place several times thinking we were getting the wrong address on GPS taking us back so we went in thinking they would direct us to place down the street place. But It was the right place. We were completely surprised. What a classy elegant place. We walked around like tourists in another country admiring the stained glass, the brass the marble, what a beautiful place. And the staff were so nice where you’re traveling make a detour and stay at this place. We will be back.
