Hyatt Place at The Hollywood Casino Pittsburgh South

I loved the newly renovated room and bathroom. Furnishings, microwave and refrigerator were very welcomed. Breakfast was average. Some fresh fruit in the breakfast would be appreciated. Property was very clean. Staff were helpful. Hated that the property has no walkability to nearby restaurants or other activities. No sidewalks at all. Connection to the casino was nice, but long. There is a linger of smoke in the air from casino visitors. Didn't bother me much.

As noted earlier, no sidewalks to be found anywhere. No connectivity to walk to nearby restaurants or shops. Parking was inconvenient. Surface lot near the building was full every night. Not sure if those in the lot are hotel guests or just persons going to the casino who don't want to park in the casino garage. Had to park in the casino garage a few nights which is a bit of a walk.

Big room, comfortable bed, close to casino. If you don't want breakfast, very good hotel.

Breakfast. I mean come on guys? That's what you call breakfast? Served on paper plates, paper cups, with plastic forks and knives? In a Hyatt? Selection for breakfast is non existent, you have really bad scrambled eggs and sausages. If the hotel is renovated, why you didn't bother to give a normal breakfast? Why is so much waste every morning, no selective garbage, nothing. Only to save a cent, and you don't care about the nature. Of the guests I don't even mention it . By the way you are writing that you blocking 50 dollars a day only for debit cards. Why you are doing it for credit cards too?

The location is great. We took advantage of the shuttle service and the drivers were very friendly and helpful. There were many activities at the casino since it was Memorial Day weekend - Food Trucks, vendors, Weiner dog races and more. We enjoyed our stay and send thanks to Sarah for being especially accommodating and friendly.

Some of the hot items at the breakfast buffet were cold. The Parlay Lounge was not what I expected. It was much smaller than we thought it was going to be, but the service was good and our server was exceptionally thoughtful in satisfying our requests.

I've stayed here several times for work. Staff is more than helpful! I especially like the front desk staff. I often interview there, and they are so nice to my candidates even though I am sure it is more work for them. The proximity to the casino is super convenient. The sushi at the restaurant is excellent. And it is within walking distance to a winery, restaurants, and bar. There is even a gas station right by the building.

Parking is an issue later in the day, but I suppose once checked in you could park in the casino parking building. Some of the furniture needs to be replaced, but they are working on that, so I imagine it will be great.

Evening Front Desk Ladies , Maintenance , Housekeepers were kind & very helpful. (10 stars ) Rooms were clean & extremely comfortable.

General manager was rude, short mannered, & not very helpful with information , when ask a couple questions. I felt he was looking down on me because I ask for a paper with information on hotel amenities & restaurants . He told me to look on web site, I said it didn't show times of breakfast, or information about restaurants. He said look on the site that you booked it on. It would take away a lot of STRESS if they had a printed informational & map paper for every room. At least for anyone who would want one. I did not like the fact that they do not clean or even empty the trash daily on stayover rooms. Pool room was so hot felt like the heat was on, Water was great though.

Hugh room away from the elevators. Nice sized TV. It had a couch and a desk and chair, a microwave, and small fridge. The included breakfast was very good. There were : scrambled eggs, bacon, potatoes, juice, coffee, toast, sweets, etc. The staff were all very courteous and helpful. There was free coffee available most of the day.

Beds and pillows were way too soft. No support at all. The air vents were dirty. The TV had no channel lineup card and the programing had no info or guide. The rug was rather worn coming in the door. The elevators had a very loud alarm when it arrived and the doors opened and closed. YOU WOULD NOT WANT TO STAY CLOSE TO THE ELEVATORS.

It was clean and good location

Our door was open when we arrived We did not have toilet paper, wash clothes and only one towel in our room when we arrived Therefore I had to go to the front desk And instead of a complementary toothbrush which is normal in hotels when you forget one The hotel has a vending machine where toiletries are overpriced

Room was clean, and roomy, bathroom was better than most, convenient location to casino.

Breakfast wasn't up to par. We came down around 830 and everything was picked over without much left. What was remaining didn't look very appetizing. Coffee tasted like it was 3 days old and burnt.

Breakfast was good each morning ,they did run out of milk 2 days . Handicapped room was very accessible ,parking not so much . Easy access to casino from hotel . Had to run hot water for quite a while before it would reach the suite and would run out quickly ,otherwise good stay ,

No handicap parking in garage nearly got hit by car while trying to get handicap scooter off lift and when trying to get to walkway . .A suggestion when a guest ask for handicap room and it is visible they have mobility issues a reserve for room # should be placed on a handicap spot .

The microwave hanging off the little table. Also, he television went off at 1030am and check out was not till 12noon.
