perfect location, 5 min by car to Charleston airport,15 min by car to Charleston historical downtown, Clean spacy rooms with large TV, good breakfast, last but not least friendly staff

We loved staying at the Tru. It was our first time staying at this modern and very trendy hotel.The room was very clean. The staff was wonderful especially Tonya at check-in. I am now obsessed with the lemon sugar body wash and lotion they provide for free. The tv was a huge flat screen on the wall. The hot breakfast with eggs, sausage, oatmeal, and pancakes was delicious. They have a pancake machine that will make you two hot cakes by the wave of your hand. How cool is that.. My husband and I will be back..

I was really happy how easy it was to get in and out of hotel. this location was perfect for the daily drive to and from Charleston and Folly Beach. I will say you don’t get a wonderful view from your room. looks like a hotel is being built behind the hotel. But never heard anything from the site it seemed they were not working the Friday we got there and Saturday/Sunday no work was being done. the front side is just the road view.

Was not told that house keeping was to be requested before 10am that day. I was not told that when checking in, But was able to get towels from front desk. Also the trash cans in room are really unusable they are the smallest trash cans I have ever seen in a hotel. Was not a fan of the divider in the trash can for recycle and regular trash I had to keep most of boxes from leftovers and drink bottles on the table top above the mini fridge. I would recommend asking to have housekeeping done so this does not bother your stay. I was able to take the bigger stuff to trash cans at elevators.

Bathroom was fairly large. Shower was nice. Had plenty of towels. Room had plenty of lamps/lighting. There was one lady on first shift that did our checkout and was super friendly but I did not see a name tag. Location was straight across from the show we were going for, so we were able to walk across the street instead of having to drive to it or pay parking fees. That was nice.

Breakfast sucked. Cold food, OJ mach. out of order, couldn't get to the "quick items" (like spoons/forks/napkins) due to people standing around making toast/pancakes, etc. And the boiled eggs were on a table where there were people sitting/eating. You couldn't get to them because of people in the way. Most staff not very friendly.

1. The bed was so comfortable! 2. The bed linens were amazing! The sheets were soft, the blanket/ quilt/ comforter was just the right weight!

The narration provided by the TV during viewing was very annoying. I contacted the front desk for assistance but the young lady said there wasn't anything she could do, it was just part of the service. This should be optional.

I really enjoyed the cleanliness of the hotel as a whole. I loved the 24/7 coffee and hot chocolate area as well. I also appreciated how the breakfast was changed up each day so that you wouldn’t get board with just one main breakfast dish.

I was not aware of the fact that I would be charged additional fees and taxes upon arriving at the hotel, since I had already paid for the hotel through Booking.com. the room was clean overall, but someone had used the bathroom before we had gotten to our room, so that was dirty as a result. The shower also had a little hair in it, but I was pleased with room’s cleanliness as a whole. The only other negative thing I would have to say about my stay, was the breakfast’s milk. The milk was spoiled. When my brother went to drink it, it had a smell to it, and it was chunky too.

I enjoyed the staff

Room was not clean, the floors were dirty the bathroom had hair on the floor and the shower door had what looked like mold our hand soap dispenser was empty. Not sure if this could change but the doors are very loud 3 in the morning you hear slamming of doors from other guest

The breakfast was very good and the area was kept clean and orderly. The hotel was clean and orderly.

The area around the trash can by the front door was filthy. Liquids had been spilled all around the container and being at the entrance, needed to be cleaned. The trash cans in the breakfast area were always full and with people eating and throwing plates and cups away, more attention needs to be paid to that.

The location was great and convenient to the outlet and many food spots. The pool was inside which was good because it had rained most of the time while we were there.

The elevators made all types of noises when it was going up and down. The water pressure in the shower could have been a little better.

I like the Tru Hotels, the staff at the counter is friendly (especially Shondra!), their rooms are clean and the provide everything you need. The water pressure in the shower is awesome, they provide body wash, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and they all smell sooo good! The hair dryer is powerful, the towels nice, the bed is comfy, they have different kinds of pillows which is cool. Free parking, no smoking, free gym, a little market with everything you could need and grave for, big TV in the room and a great breakfast with enough to choose from and always complimentary coffee, tea and water. All in all it's really cool there.

The breakfast is until 9am and they seem you meet up in that time to check their work schedule and stuff which js right next to the breakfast, so theres lots of staff member walking back and forth and you can hear them talk and chat and gossip very loud which I personally thought was funny but I see how some people might find that disturbing while eating... in that case you should just choose a table further away :)
