The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

I love the view of the resort and the beach. I loved the fact that the parking deck was spacious. I loved the fact that our rooms were clean and the staff was very friendly. The meals in the Carolina Room were immaculate. All in all, this was the best vacation I've had in my life.

I loved everything about my stay. I have no complaints. None whatsoever.

Very pretty. The beds were very comfortable. Pretty much every room has at least a small view of the ocean. I got a massage at their spa and while it was overpriced, it was one of the better massages I’ve had. I highly recommend Norma.

The resort is pretty far away from the “must try” restaurants, shops, and golf courses. Everything the resort offered was overpriced. The flies were out of control at their outdoor restaurants (Splash & View 32). There are 3 pools and none of them were adult only. Each pool had an oil layer from sunscreen that coated you upon entry. The resort did not offer much for adult nightlife (bars were not open late and there were no nightclubs).

The room was great with a great oceanfront view. The "indoor/outdoor" pool was amazing. Loved the coffee shop. The beach was clean.

I had asked to not be on the 1st floor days before, and that did not happen. Additionally, the pet policy didn't really make sense. I spoke with Chris Maldonado and he provided additional rules about pets that were not on the website. For example, pets cannot be left alone in the room because of cleaning services and the dog barking. How are guests supposed to enjoy the amenities with the dog?? A compromise could be having a crate required. Or just have a "Pet Inside" door magnet so the service staff knows not to go in.

Super heavenly beds, great deck with a view to the ocean (and also wild lightening show!), fabulous restaurant (indoor one - great fish choices!), the service, the friendly staff, the responsiveness (we moved a table on the deck and a glass broke - they came immediately. I wanted an extra pillow for my injured shoulder -again, immediately!). The great beach trail and amazingly gorgeous surf and shore! It was so great! The wine selection was really wonderful and so reasonable! Truly it was a special stay!!

There was no one to check us in and greet us - so that took a bit (but once at counter, they were very friendly). The pool was sadly too warm - all of them - to be refreshing. I always find places where you have to reserve a spot to lay by the pool slightly off putting - but we didn't really come to do much of that anyway (too hot!).

Everything!! Our first time here and i was just blown away!! This was my quick birthday weekend trip (next time longer) and i can not say just how much we loved it here!! Beautiful resort right on the beach, beautiful set-up, landscaping, the access to the beach just few steps is the ultimate perk!! The entertainment is such a bonus, the free towels to me were the bomb!! Saves so much hassle and carrying your own. We all know, how dirty and sandy towels get just after one use on the beach! I felt spoiled here!! The room was so clean, modern design, bed incredibly comfortable , lots of pillows, big chunky comforter, complimentary coffee and waters, robe! The servers bringing you your food and drinks to your lounge chair was amazing as well! We didn’t have to leave the resort for anything , everything was there and more. This resort was not overcrowded, more homey/family feel. The private beach felt very “private”. Again, not overcrowded and you’d see the same guests. Easy check-in, check-out. You were treated with such respect! Love love this atmosphere and we will most likely stop going to Florida, where we normally come and come here.

I loved everything.

The Resort Staff was very friendly and helpful. They gave us complimentary champagne for our wedding anniversary. I felt that they put our needs first and was willing to answers all of our questions. There was one person name Jarvis that was very helpful the first night explaining to us the landscape of the resort and the good places to eat at Hilton Head. I will definitely stay with them again.

They only had one elevator and it was small that could only fit about 4 adults. There was also a fire alarm that went off at around 5:15 am and we never found out if there was a real fire or reason for the alarm.

The resort was gorgeous. Location was incredibly private and the beach was beautiful.

The Carolina Room restaurant was a disappointment. We made reservations and our server Payton was great, however we felt like we were in an Applebee's type environment. We were very surprised, as we expected more of an upscale atmosphere from the Westin. The lights were very bright (no ambiance) and the food was mediocre. We wish we had chosen to dine at the pool bar restaurant, as the environment and service expectations would have been more transparent.

Dinner at Carolina Room very nice experience. Service very good. Food was excellent.

Concierge not available for us to redeem "our gift". Stopped by several times, never at desk. Front desk only had one clerk when anyone was there...most time no one there. Just dropped keys in the Express checkout box since no one at the desk. Clerk was pleasant when checked in. The workers hammering etc. in neighboring room was annoying in the a.m. Realize slow time of year for resort hotel but seemed could have been more staff.

Fire alarm emergency evacuation on Saturday night .. false alarm A woman pulled the alarm because of her pet… really? No beach chair service for entire stay Disappointed for an oceanfront resort with beautiful weather No pool chairs available by the pool. The manager Nate found us a cabana rental for a few days .. that was very nice. Great personality! Sabrina was amazing at assisting guests by the pool! Best associate we met during our stay.

Beautiful accommodations, right on beach, many pools to choose from, nice coffee shop and close to everything

For the first couple of night we were in a room that faced the alley with a smidge view of ocean. Each day we requested a new room, and patience prevailed Hyo Yeon not only changed our room when available, but changed again and walked to our room to ensure we had a spectacular view. Thankful for her commitment to service.
