Paradise Resort

I loved the room set-up, loved the pools and tiki hut! The staff was very nice and accommodating. Very convenient access to the beach too!

I didn’t love the fact that 1/3 of the people at the pool/hot tub were from another resort and when I asked about it I was told that Paradise is a sister resort of Compass Cove. Then was told that they could use all of the amenities at Paradise but we could not use the amenities at Compass Cove. If both resorts are owned by the same person, both should get the same treatment.

Loved the location, woman at front desk answered all my questions and was very polite. Access to the beach was great and the cute little pool beach hut was nice. Very clean. Loved the fact that plenty of dishes were available and clean with dishwasher available as well. Having convenient parking available right out the door for people on the first 4 floors was really convenient and didn't impede the view.

Rooms seemed a little dated, even for a fairly newer hotel. Could use a new coat of paint. Paint was chipping off a bit in the room. Thought TV in bedroom was fairly small to be honest. Karaoke happened one day around noon or so and it was very loud. Could hear it all the way up in our room (4th floor) and down the beach. Couldn't drown out the whaling unless we cut the TV in the living room on full blast (felt bad for the neighbors). The lunch time ends fairly early in the day. Wish it could've been available for maybe one to two hours more. Ended at 2 pm, got out to the pool and Tiki bar at like 2:15 I think (parter and I work 2nd and 3rd shift at home so our bodies are not capable of waking up very early. I know, that's an us problem, but I feel like we can't be the only ones).

The room was spaceful and it had a kitchen which was a plus

We were on the 1st floor didnt have much privacy because the pool area was close . Would have loved to have gotten a room in a higher floor so we could have set out on the patio instead of having to keep the curtains closed ..

The room was amazing. We had an ocean front room and the view from the balcony was wonderful. Bed was so comfortable.

The resort could have used more elevators or maybe different check in times for guests as it was very busy during that time.

Very clean! One of the best places I’ve stayed at in Myrtle Beach.

The pool could have been a little cleaner. Very cloudy and greasy.🤢

The property was located directly near the ocean and the views was phenomenal!

The fact that housekeeping only changed the guest towels and took out trash from the trash cans. No cleaning service nor clean linens for the beds. My family stayed for 6 nights and I would have thought at least having the linens changed once would have been great. I asked the housekeeper about it and she said “no, they don’t change the linens, only towels and wash cloths”. So, I asked can I have clean bed linens and I’ll change them myself and she said “no”. She seemed to be offended because I was asking. When I asked for a broom to at least sweep the floor, she seemed to become vey annoyed. One of the days she didn’t even come to the room to collect the towels, garbage, etc. I had to call the front desk for toilet paper and clean towels and wash cloths.

The location of front view ocean, the lay out of the bedrooms and kitchen were nice, the light switches were labeled properly, benches on the balcony were provided, utensils and pots were provided, dishwasher, laundry, full size refrigerator in the unit, cable t.v. with each rooms, enclosed shower, noise proof walls it was a quite place we could hardly hear the tenant next door, housekeeper was friendly and pleasant to approach, the staff are helpful and friendly with big smile on their faces. The elevator is fast and big. The overflow parking lot was convenient. The mirror in the garage really helps. The doorman cart was always available to use and easily to find.

There was no complimentary breakfast and the room was a bit pricey for us. The fitness gym was secluded. I feel creepy and not safe.

The room was great! We loved the location and the staff was very friendly and attentive.

The sofa bed was not cleaned. Had tobacco and wrappers on the mattress.

***OCEANFRONT VIEW from balcony ONLY*** #207 My family and I enjoyed the easy access to parking, the pools, ocean, and sweet shops/food establishments that were in walking distance. This trip was my Parents first time ever vacating to the beach and they loved it, and they're already planning there 2024 trip. The seating for dining was great. Enough room to seat our family of 8, comfortably.

We had a 2 bedroom suite that was comfortable but the appliances need updating, especially the stove. The carpet was stained in the master bedroom, the master bathroom has black mold on the ceiling above the commode, and paint chippings from the ceiling kept falling on and beside the commode. Should you be the next guest staying in room 207, be vigilant. Black mold is dangerous and should be attended to immediately. My allergies/sinuses are still paying the price for it! There is no ocean view from the bedrooms in room 207.

loved the size and setup of the room. we had a bedroom with two queen beds (our beds were very thick, tall, and comfy) one bathroom (with a bath/shower and the bath was set up to be used as a bath), a stacked washer and dryer (oh boy did this come in handy-don’t forget laundry soap), a kitchenette, and living room. it felt like we were in a small apartment rather than a hotel room. we had a balcony with a great view of the ocean. carpet was clean and fresh, room nicely decorated, it was a great room! also loved Ben and Jerry’s on property. staff were very, very nice! parking was free and while yes, the parking garage was tight, it was navigable and very convenient. the overflow lot across the street was a great second option. I always could find a spot. Relative to other beach hotels we have stayed at, parking here was excellent. finally AC was nice and cold!

there were some negatives. the Murphy bed in the living room was broken. we didn’t need it but we could have used it were it functional. the pool was being repaired for most of our stay. the lazy river is basically a small circle and was over-ridden with small, energetic kids. restaurant was ONLY open at breakfast. Elevators were an issue, long waits during peak times.
