Wyndham Garden Summerville

Staff were accommodating. Since we booked through 3rd party(booking.com), we were told that that they only had to promise a room. They gave us a room w 2 double beds. On booking.com my reservation was confirmed for a room w a king bed. We arrived after midnight so we were too exhausted from our 11 hour drive to question our reservation.

The next morning the desk attendant found us a room w a king and we were transferred to that room for the remainder of our stay. We were surprisingly told that they were unable to print a receipt out for us due to our booking the room through a third party. Never was told ‘that’ before when booking through booking through Booking. Com…..

The Wyndham Garden Summerville Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. It was a absolute delight dealing with the staff there. In fact, I requested a rather early check-in at twelve noon, but when we got to the hotel the young lady told me that there were no rooms ready at that time. We decided to go have some lunch, and before we could walk to the Ye Old Fashioned down the street, a seven minute walk, the young lady called me and emailed me to let me know that a room had just been finished being cleaned and that I could check in. Most hotels don't even consider giving you a check in as early as twelve, but the Wyndham Garden Summerville went above and beyond to make it happen for us.

Not a thing could have been better.

Check in was pretty efficient. The lobby is very welcoming. The lounge area looked amazing, although we didn't use it. The room was spacious and clean. Overall a pleasant experience.

I was confused about the breakfast. When booking when I checked breakfast for amenities the price increased by about $40. That was a ridiculous price for breakfast, so I opted out and just booked the room. When I checked in the clerk told me what the breakfast hours were, and I asked it was included. She said it was, just tell the server our room number. We already had plans with family for breakfast, so I didn't pursue the issue. Also, the elevators were pretty far from our room but other than that it was a great stay.

When i 1st walked in i felt comfortable and safe. Everything in the beginning was smooth and fast and the bar just right there on your right side once u go in. I felt like i walked in a club loud music but pleasant.

My bathroom ceiling paint was peeling off real bad. Little blood stains on cover and it was ripped some. I was on the 4th floor. And next day i had no towels or wash cloths all day. I finally went to front desk after we took the kids to Folly Beach and they gave us some.

I like the location and overall quality was good for the price. The staff was friendly enough. The pool area was very clean and not overcrowded.

Some of the cleaning staff didnt speak english so i had to go downstairs to get extra towels a few times. And some of the other guest i know were smoking marijuana, i said something once before. But i stayed a week and i smelled it practically every night.

The room was nice and clean, breakfast in the mornings were very good and staff was very nice and helpful. The bed wasn't my bed but it was comfortable. I have to also give a shout out to the Bartender Quentin at the Bar in the lobby was excellent and very friendly

I only had one thing wrong and that was the wet and damp smell I'm assuming came from all the weather

The location and room size

Elevator seem a little scary as it has a soft spot on the floor. The room size was nice and it was clean, but you could see where a hole was poorly patched on the wall. Behind the bathroom door was a scuffed and dented wall from the towel hanger that seem to constantly hit it because there was no door stopper, and the towel hanger itself was almost broken from the door. Also, the shower pressure was the worse!

The bar and happy was very nice to enjoy after a long day of traveling. The bartender and staff were helpful and welcoming.

The reservation was booked by a family member for my stay. I was really surprised to be told at checkout I was not able to receive a receipt or a list of charges for my stay. I had to contact my family member to provide any information and it was extremely frustrating.

My family was in town to attend a funeral. We appreciated the cleanliness and the all-around hospitality of everyone at the property. Staff was friendly and professional and we sincerely appreciated the hot breakfast served each morning and especially the servers who were kind, professional, and helped make our stay for such a sad occasion enjoyable.

they accept pets. The property is close to everything. the breakfast is great. the staff are exceptional!

The property is a bit dated. it’s not a problem because they keep it clean. the hallways could use some cleaning a bit more frequently, but there are a lot of construction crews that stay so it’s understandable.
