Clarion Inn near Lookout Mountain

We stayed here because we wanted to be close to Ruby Falls, which was a few miles away. The room had a king size bed and modern updates! A free continental breakfast was good.

The beds were very comfortable and breakfast was good. The night staff was very friendly and helpful.

The hotel itself has the potential to be better. The lobby bathroom is in poor shape as well as the lobby furniture. The rooms themselves have good bones but could use a deep cleaning ,same for hallway. The morning staff was not as friendly . Told her the lobby bathroom needs paper towels, she shrugged. I am assuming they removed the hairdryers? Disappointed there.

Everybody was friendly and helpful. The place was decently clean.

The internet connection was absolutely terrible. I was desperately trying to get some time-sensitive work done in the evenings. The internet was either way too slow or the Wi-Fi itself kept completely disconnecting. I am aware this isn't a reflection on the on-site staff. This is a corporate decision that needs to be worked on.. The hallway carpet really needs to be replaced.

We liked being close to the attractions we visited. Also, having options for food nearby. The rooms were updated and very comfortable. Parking was super easy. The air conditioner worked wonderful for a hotel room, very pleased.

The outer shell of the property had us a bit leery when arriving but the inside made us at ease. The pool could have used a scrub but our kids enjoyed it regardless. Stocking enough towels for the amount of people staying would have been nice, not a deal breaker though.

This Clarion Inn was very clean, comfortable, friendly staff, decent breakfast, nice pool. Located near most attractions, restaurants and stores.

Most of the day it's difficult getting in and out of the property because hotel is on a busy street with narrow entrances into the property. The toilet paper they supply is awful! Thin, crumbles, kinda melts when you try to use and sticks to you in pieces. Bring your own TP! 😉

Staff was helpful and efficient. Bed was very comfy and clean. Breakfast quality was good and the plates and cups were paper products, NOT styrofoam. We hate using or eating/drinking out of styrofoam. Location is easy to find from the interstate and not far from fabulous downtown amenities and restaurants.

Room paint colors are too dark, it makes the room dark, even when the lamps are on. The price is high compared to prices in the upper Midwest, but it is a popular tourist destination, so the price is probably fair.

It was very appealing to the eye,it was a very old building bit had some upgrades .The bed was so comfortable, which was a king smoking room.

The ac leaked a huge puddle where the electric cord was plugged up and also to the outlet area.The bathroom sink was also stopped up.The ceiling lights hadn't been cleaned and it was very yellow and dusty from smoking.

The room was clean and well maintained. The man would checked us in at the front desk was kind and accommodating. The bed was big and comfortable and the bathroom was clean and put together. No bugs and no mold! I got a very good deal for this charming hotel.

The breakfast was pretty underwhelming. We specifically sought out a hotel with a continental breakfast so we could spend our money on lunch and dinner and not worry about breakfast. It was served a little early for our liking. When we got to the breakfast there was not a lot of options. The second day, we waited in a long line for breakfast and there was not a lot left. We ended up just leaving from there (we were already set to check out that day) and getting breakfast elsewhere. But considering the price, it wasn’t so bad. Definitely didn’t ruin the experience.

Sherry was very helpful getting a room cleaned up for me when my plans went astray. Breakfast was free and excellent. There are also good restaurants and a great wine/spirits story within a block. Ruby Falls is just minutes down the road.

When you book, be sure to specific you want a NON-SMOKING room, or you'll get whatever.

The king room was immaculately clean, just the way we like it. The heater/ac in the room was auto temperature regulated and it works as it should shutting off when it reached the temperature setting and more importantly the air vents were clean. You'd be surprised how dirty they can get and how easily they can be neglected. The floors were tile and clean. Carpets can look clean but are they. IMHO in a commercial setting, most likely no. The gentleman night manager was a true southern gentleman. This is why we love the south.
