Candlewood Suites Cookeville, an IHG Hotel

The staff were wonderful… friendly & helpful. When I got to my room, the room across the hall was being cleaned top to bottom… mattress off the bed, corners being cleaned, bed frame wiped down, places you can’t even see were being cleaned & disinfected. They said they do that every time there’s even a questionable odor or issue. I was very pleasantly surprised. My room was very spacious, clean & comfortable. Loved the full kitchen… stocked with everything but food, large desk area, very comfortable bed. It was a wonderful, restful break in the middle of a 3 day cross-country road trip. I would definitely stay there again if ever in the area & need a good night’s sleep.

Very comfy bed and bed linens. Spacious room. Nice desk and recliner. Also appreciated having a bath tub.

Clean, comfortable beds, great staff. We needed to change our room to two beds instead of one at the last minute and they changed it with no problem. Check in was easy and the staff is really nice and helpful. We only stayed for one night, after our flight and on our way to Dollywood. The full kitchen is impressive for the price we paid.

This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel in Cookeville. Easy access from the highway and very close to lots of retail and restaurants but located at the very end so nice and quiet. Kitchen is stocked with table settings for 4 people, as well as some pots and pans, and a full-size refrigerator and microwave. In addition, there is a grill guests can use outside and the hotel has other items, like a blender and corkscrew, that can be borrowed. There is a small exercise room and an indoor pool. And there is a small shop with some beverages and snack food for sale if you don't want to venture to the nearest Kroger, which is only about a mile down the road.

Unfortunately, we arrived to find a dishwasher full of dirty dishes, which we tried to run again but, it still didn't work. And the toilet set was very loosely attached to the base. Neither of these things had been an issue when we last stayed here. When we brought these things to the staff's attention, one person commented that both of these issues are frequent complaints. To the staff's credit, they moved us to a new room immediately and we enjoyed the rest of our stay. The internet connection is not always reliable but the staff allowed us to use the business office and conference room when we had virtual meetings for work.

Did not like the party that went on at the gazebo till early morning!!! Our room was right above the gazebo so did not sleep well until the party was over!!! Another thing that's right down ridiculous was paying $75 pet fee!!! That's the most we've ever paid for a pet fee!! And we have a little 1 year old ShihTzu!! She's cleaner than a child would be in a room! That would be the only reason we wouldn't stay in your motel again!

There was no breakfast in the hotel we stayed but the small kitchen was in our room so we could make our own meals. The staff was friendly and available to answer our questions. good location for traveling around the city or other locations.

The kitchen supplies were adequate, one large frying pan was difficult to clean so a scratch pad/cleaners would be nice. Since the staff only cleans after seven days, would be nice to include a broom/dust pan for our spot cleaning.

It is located close to Interstate Drive and all kinds of restaurants.

The shower wouldn’t drain, so I had to stand in many inches of water to shower. Breakfast is not provided, therefore we had to go eat somewhere else (but that was my fault- I will research better and book somewhere that has breakfast next time!)

I liked Robert. He made check-in very easy & even gave me some great information. We loved that it had a recliner in it. My mom has trouble sleeping/breathing/getting comfortable in a bed , & she sleeps in a recliner at home. So it was a very pleasant surprise to see the recliner. I also liked how spacious the room was.

There wasn't anything I didn't like.

Our family really enjoyed the room layout and the separate living and bedroom areas. The kitchen was nice for cooking meals on the available cook top. The laundry facilities were nice, and there was was no charge for use besides using your own laundry soap. I liked the gym as well.

The rooms was nice and comfortable and we loved the kitchen area, however the older lady at the desk was rude to my children.
