Comfort Inn & Suites Cookeville

The location was much quieter than the last hotel we stayed, even though it was only half a mile away. Close to parks, restaurants, and shopping. Nice to have breakfast available. Housekeeping only came when requested. The room had a microwave and fridge/freezer, which was nice since we stayed a few days.

The driveway getting in and out was like a curb. There are also multiple locations on the property and it was difficult to know which one we booked with. I’m guessing it’s frustrating for staff as well because the person we went to first, who told us we were not at the correct building, was not very nice. There were stains on the carpet which made it look dirty and dated.

Do not allow staff to take smoke breaks at the entrance of the hotel, unappealing in general, did not like walking through them and the cigarettes smoke and cigarette butts ALL over the ground, especially with my 4 yr old grandson. Was given a room right next to the elevator upon check in, elevator is very loud, requested another room and was given a great room.

The pool, the comfortable beds, and the warm cookies! I also liked the breakfast. I thought it had plenty of different things for people to choose from. 

There wasn’t no hot tub. It would have been nice for them to have hot chocolate available. Other than that, we would stay there again. 

I have stayed at several other hotels in Cookeville and so far all my stays at Comfort Inn & Suites have been the best. The room and bathroom were clean, no noticeable odors when first entering the room, it was very quiet, and the bed was comfy. It's close to numerous restaurants (most are chains), a strip mall (Publix, Petco, etc.). gas stations, and the interstate. Coffee and fruit juice available for free in the lobby. Limited variety of other drinks and snacks for sell in the lobby.

The closet was missing the mirrored doors which seems minor but I was dressing for an important event and it would have been nice to have a full length mirror. I could have changed rooms but I was already settled in when I noticed. They are still serving these disappointing grab-n-go breakfasts (choice of microwave biscuits, pre-packaged muffins, granola bar, bottled water) kept at the front desk.

Clean room. Staff was super nice and helpful. Building and facilities seemed well maintained.

Breakfast!! Honestly, Covid should NO longer be stopping them from this service, even buffet restaurants are functioning. The "bag breakfast" is a real joke! We felt the slightly higher room rate would be fine as it had a "hot" breakfast. In MY opinion, a frozen sausage/egg/cheese biscuit that id microwaved does NOT qualify. I don't plan any other stays at Comfort Inns unless/until I KNOW the regular breakfast is back. It really is a shame to get a "bad taste" for a hotel that otherwise was a very nice stay!

The breakfast was a great convenience, the location kept me close to every place I wanted to be. The staff was friendly and helpful. This is the kind of place I want to stay in always, there was even a washer and dryer.

This was one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in! The hotel and room was clean. I got there early and was supposed to stay at the hotel next door, they didn’t have any open rooms yet so they called there hotel right next to it and got me a room right away. The staff was so nice the whole time. The room even had a couch and table like a little living room set up. The pools heater was broken but we were able to go to the other hotel and use that pool, they are so close together it wasn’t an issue at all. it was nice and warm and my kids loved it! Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone staying in the area!

The room was spacious and had a nice sitting area. the beds were so comfy and the bathroom was super clean and well stocked which was wonderful. All in all, id recommend this hotel to anyone.

The grab-and-go breakfast wasn't very good. I was handed a frozen breakfast sandwich as I checked out. I fully understand that Covid changed the way things are done but I would have rather not gotten breakfast at all and gotten a little cheaper price than pay for "breakfast included" when that breakfast is a frozen jimmy deans biscuit.

Location was great, right off Rt. 40. Lots of restaurants nearby. Good breakfast.

There was no way to close the drapes on the first floor. There were no directions for using the tv and it wasn’t intuitive
