Howard Johnson by Wyndham Galveston

All staff were super attentive and polite. From the moment you check-in, during your entire stay, to the moment you check-out. Very helpful in recommending places to visit during our stay. Free continental breakfast was served, an extremely clean room, BBQ pit available, good working washer/dryer on premises ($2 in quarters each), snack vending machine, and free ice machine.

The back surrounding area behind the hotel looks dirty but the hotel itself was super clean. Also, there are train tracks right behind the hotel, the train noise didn't bother me at all but it may bother some people. I wish the hotel had a swimming pool!!

It's in a new area to where a lot of restaurants can deliver to your room. I had a problem about one of my rooms and Todd Overstreet took care of the problem and gave me a better solution on the room.

The only thing I didn't like is the toilet is too close to the ground but other than that I had a good time.

The gentleman at the front desk was super nice and helpful. We asked for a late check out and they gave us an extra hour.

We thought it was by the beach but it was not. Not their mistake ours. Only thing that did bother me was all the stores within walking distance closed at even though they claim to be open all night.

Free cruise parking with booking of only 1 night. They had designated parking spots for cruise travelers. The unit was clean and spacious.

Breakfast was very basic. The hotel is rather far from the cruise terminals and the entertainment district. The view from the window was just swamp.

We stay there when we cruise, so it’s a good location and a good deal for 1 or 2 nights. We leave our car there during cruise. Nice

Housekeeping was slow to respond and didn’t speak English to handle our request.

I enjoyed the cleanliness of the accommodations, and the free cruise parking. The staff was nice and friendly. Our car was safe as well.

Perhaps more options for breakfast that may take in account intolerances of certain foods, like gluten, etc. Other than that, no complaints.

the room could be cleaned better. sheets and pillows need updating. tub was not very clean. we needed place to stay so we over looked it.

toilet height was a challenge/HoJo used to be known for its breakfast. Maybe fresh pastry would be nice

The seat in shower, the tile floor in bathroom wasn't slick tile so when wet wasn't dangerous. Cable tv. Parking right outside the room. Comfy chairs. I was very impressed, I was expecting worse actually because of low price.

The placing of outlets to use. For phone chargers and coffee pot. Non smoking. The floor could have been cleaner, my feet were black and there was dirt along side of bed frame. Otherwise it was great.

How close it is to UTMB where I go to Dr.

There isn't enough plugs within reach of the bed for 2 phones and 2 tablets. The ones in the night stand table between the beds do not work
