We liked having multiple options for food and snacks, even up to 10 p.m. Enjoyed the Billiards room at night with pingpong, pool tables, and shuffleboard. Lots of people were using the pool, so maybe it was heated, and outdoor tables, games, and movies playing outside. We enjoyed the walking trail and visited Aquarium and Rain Forest. We could have gone to the Visitor Center and watched a 4D movie there in the evening when most of the visitors had gone. There is a lot to do, having the hotel colocated with the Aquarium, Zip Line, Rain Forest, Schlitterbahn, boat tour, walking trail, playgrounds, huge swimming pool. The hotel has a lot of sitting areas/nooks tucked away, as well as a large lobby with seating.

Lots of walking, several banks of elevators and lack of signage led to a lot of confusion about how to find our way to closest door to get outside with our pet. We encountered quite a few people who were "lost" as well. Maybe a map of the hotel would help. Guests will realize the pricey room reflects the many conveniences and amenities of the property; while the room is adequate, it isn't luxurious and does show a bit of "run down" look -- chipped tub, lower water pressure, no microwave, some outlets not working -- but this isn't a place to waste in your room.

The flexibility of checking in

The bed linen has old blood, contaminated swimming pool (my small child had diarrhea right after swimming), no camera in hallway, any people can access the elevators.

The staff was super friendly, house keeping was great & the vallet staff as well. Everyone at the attractions as well highly recommended palm beach & doing all the exhibits plus 4d theater try it all! Great place for family’s.

Everything was great but it was my first time staying there. I wish that at check in I would of been advised where & what all was available to do on the property. Including where to park & details of vallet & self parking. I have two toddlers & honestly my head is going 1000000 miles per hour I don’t think to ask all these questions I just want to get things done to keep them from throwing fits. I didn’t know about palm beach until my husband and I looked at a map at the rainforest exhibit. Also would of loved to know that tickets for the attractions were discounted if we bought them at the front desk. Everything was great but again it be great if more information was provided at check in. Especially if it’s a guest first time there.

Breakfast was good ... Spa was Excellent (a bit pricier) Room was quite pretty and our View of Islands & Schliterbahn water park was amazing. A plus was their Hotel Gym offered Free Yoga classes but I didn't know about it until After the fact. *****🔺I did like the Friendly Smiles of all the Valet ppl especially Randy who went above and beyond by taking our Luggage up to room then went to another floor to get ICE for our cooler WOOHOO THANKS RANDY🔺

I didnt like nor having extra towels as requested when I booked thru 3rd party site only to get to property and be told that Request Not Honored until you are assigner a room upon check in I did not like No Microwave was in my room. I did not like No Hotel Shuttle Bus to take me to local places nearby. I did not like no Blankets in closets

Very upscale and enjoyable.

Pet friendly and much appreciated, but when we called the front desk about a place to eat that we could bring our dog, they said there was not a place to do so. Later on we noticed outside seating at The Cafe and asked if we could dine outside with our pet and they said yes. We were not ready to eat at the time and did not have the time later to try it out. Would have been nice to know early on. Front desk and Cafe need to be on same page.

Very comfortable bed, easy to control room temperatures. Well appointed bathroom. Not a lot of noise noticeable from adjoining rooms or corridor. Elevators all in working order. A lot of attractions are onsite.

If not careful you could use the two bottles of electrolyte water placed in the room and find out later they are $6 each. It did say $6 on the cap, but some might not notice. Restaurants are quite expensive , makes it more desirable to go and eat out . Having to pay for the attractions on top of the hotel charges. At keast one attraction shoul be included in te price in my opinion

I love that the attractions are right next to the hotel. The staff were really great! Staff in the front were really nice as for the ones in the cafe. We were eating breakfast and Jessy was really nice/helpful. Also the man in the shuttle was kind and greeted us . The experience was awesome! Definitely would come back again.

The pool bar drinks were terrible won’t recommend, I wish the pillows were a bit softer and when we were playing outdoors games we saw huge 2 big roaches by the plants and bench. We immediately went inside as for the other lady with her child. Not a bug fan.

the room was very nice and big we enjoyed the view as well.

so randomly our bathroom would start smelling like cigarettes'. and I got bit by bed bugs all over my ankles. My child got bit on her back. when we called about the cigarettes' smell they said all they could do was re clean the bathroom i told them it was okay and the kind ladies asked us if we needed anymore towels or if they could help us with anything else

The kid friendly facility makes it easy to keep them entertained.

I've stayed at the hotel many times and have always booked through booking.com. Each time the hotel has given us complimentary tickets to their water park. This time we had to pay for tickets. For the amount of money you pay per room, I feel that the park tickets should be included. I also feel that the hotel needs some updating.

Moody Gardens has the feel of an upscale hotel. It's the little touches, such as bringing a petite size jar of honey with your hot tea or croissants and wait staff who dress to impress and don't refer to guests as "you guys." We enjoyed eating in their first floor restaurant, and the food was good and reasonably priced. The large rooms are nicely decorated with wonderful king-size pillows and a comfortable mattress. We almost sleep better here than at home. All of the bathrooms have safety features, of grab bars, and a tub mat in the shower. The hotel is beautifully decorated and has a resort size swimming pool with a very large hot tub. Both were sparkling clean and well lit at night for safety. The hotel is centrally located and close to the Seawall, Pleasure Pier, and the Strand. Moody Gardens also has a variety of activities located next door... The aquarium is our favorite, but there are others too. We love their winter activities and the feeling that we are part of their family. This is our hotel of choice for every visit to Galveston.

The bathroom needs towel racks closer to the sink.
