Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites - Irving Convention Center - Las Colinas, an IHG Hotel

I love the location of this hotel since it’s right down the street from May daughter’s college. We came into town for an event and knew immediately that we wanted to stay here. We are repeat customers and are always happy to stay here. They were even able to accommodate our early arrival time which meant the world to us!

At check in we were about to get charged again. I had to explain to the staff that I had paid days in advance. She said she took the charge off but unfortunately it was left on there. When I brought it up with Carlos at the front desk, he was able to take the extra charge off for us.

I’ve stayed in this hotel many times throughout the years. It doesn’t matter where in Dallas I go to, I always stay in Irving, Texas next to the convention center. This hotel is quiet, clean and breakfast is off the hook (bada$$).

We actually enjoyed the following. A little mischievous playful ghost knocking on our door (room 610). 👻 Nonetheless, our stay was awesome.

Great location and spacious rooms.

Terrible grab and go breakfast option. It would also be great if the hotel made sure all guests were following the no smoking policy.

In town for concert at Toyota Music Factory. 10-min walk along paved path from hotel across canal to venue and retail area. Save you parking fee at venue.

Nothing really. Other than Toyota Music Factory and adjacent retail, not much in area. Overall what you would expect from a Holiday Inn.

On check-in front desk staff was super friendly and helpful. Room was spacious with a small kitchenette setup sink and microwave.

Bathroom wallpaper was peeling, mold in the caulking. I had to request new room keys because they stopped working but the desk clerk did not verify my id.

The room was a good size and the ac was awesome.

You might put a counter in the restroom in the rooms for people to put their items on like glasses when they go to take a shower. Some of us are really blind without them and can't see 10 inches inferring of our face.

Close to expressway and Las Colinas. It was clean, modern and near restaurants. Good value for area.

I wish there was a designated, safe walkway to the Toyota Music Factory through the back field along highway 114.

We enjoyed the breakfast, but bacon was not available Saturday nor Sunday. Everything else was great.

Wish the extra bedding was in the room already. Instead having to go get it from the front desk. Really no other complaints.

Coffee and tea was available 24/7. Even though I had to request 3 times that coffee be made because it was ALWAYS cold!

There was hair on the bathroom floor and hair in the sink. There was some type of film on the window “ with the view”. I removed the hair with wet toilet paper. I used one of the towels to wipe down the window.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Cordelia who was the most helpful, pleasant and attentive front desk person. Cordelia was so lovely to talk with and is a treasure to your business. Keep up the great work Cordelia. AA++
