La Quinta by Wyndham Port Lavaca

We didn't catch the young man's name who checked us in last night, August 4th, around 8pm. I wish we had, because he was awesome!!! He was able to recommend a good restaurant that was still open, 303 Pub and Grub, and they had great food and good service. We were hungry, tired and grateful!!! The bed was comfortable and we had enough pillows to choose from. Waffles and coffee were great!

While the hotel and the room appeared clean, the place had an odd smell. Not sure if what y'all are using to clean the floors is the culprit, but y'all might want to look into it. Perhaps some fresh caulking around the tub, as well.

1. I always trust LaQuinta to be relatively clean and safe, it’s usually my go to booking 2. Right next to Walmart and whataburger is across the highway. 3. Room and bath were clean as was all the hotel I could see.

1. Kind of in an inconvenient location what with having to make u-turns and go out of the way to get to entrance, but that can’t be changed. 2. The beds were horrible! so hard I was at Walmart at 6am the first of my stay buying a stupid foam mattress pad and I swear the pillows were bags of cement in a pillowcase!! 3. Be warned! the bathtub was very slippery, go grab bars and no safety strips in the tub! Elderly and children need to be watched so they don’t and break something!

the gym bicycle foot straps were torn; the carpet on the third floor smelled like urine overwhelming smell; we have stayed there before on the 3rd floor and it did not smell. the smell was unpleasant from the minute you would get off elevator

The staff was the greatest asset to this location….but the thing I liked about the property was that it was close to Walmart:)

The only thing I can think of is….I was in a handicap room which wasn’t necessary. I just don’t want to tie up facilities that were intended for others.

Super clean! All the staff we came in contact with from front desk to cleaning crew were all pleasant and friendly! and they were working on Thanksgiving Holiday! Breakfast was great, love them waffles! Thanks so much y’all!

everything was great. we felt like the air conditioning could be better but it worked so thats all that mattered.

Staff were very friendly, rooms were clean and breakfast was great! We recently had stayed in this hotel and each time i had no complaints.

My only complaint, is we stayed during week and breakfast is only served till 9 am. Wish that was extended till at least 10 am .

Convenience of location, decently priced especially for staying on a holiday weekend, clean, allow pets.

Need updated pet policy posted everywhere you can book the rooms because everywhere I looked, it stated pets can stay at no extra cost but I was charged a $20 pet fee at check-in. Maybe just my unit, but probably need to clean an a/c filter or something bc room would cool down but took a while even with fan blowing on high.

The complimentary breakfast was amazing! Eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy as well as waffles, pastries, yogurt. There was plenty of food and it was all fresh. Staff did a great job of keeping food and supplies stocked as well.

😃 I enjoyed my stay very much. I had the most friendly connection with the afternoon, evening and morning staff. They were very open and made us feel welcome like we were their family. Will definitely be back. The facility was very clean and well kept. They are very pet friendly our sweet pup felt at home too.

There was nothing to dislike.

Clean and breakfast was fabulous. The pillows were hard as a rock, went and bought my own pillows. Other than that I liked everything.
