it was large, green grounds, plenty of parking, clean, room was spacious and nice decor. good lighting and good temp control. close to our faire and other places we went. we were given extra towels, very polite & helpful staff, easy check in process. the beds in 204 were large and very comfy. slept mostly great. great value and great price. will definitely come back. stairs were easy to navigate.

the neighbors (in 203? Most likely because our 206 family didn’t hear it) were loud after bedtime hours Friday night, like 11pm to 3am. Saturday night too but less time, less loud and didn’t care as much due to exhaustion from the all-day event. neither night affected the children’s sleep. the rr door was awkwardly close to the toilet but the rr was clean and it worked. the room could use an extra trash can and bed stand. it smelled like paint and/or mold when you first walked in the doorway/hallway but it didn’t affect the overall stay. the safety lock on the door was missing- made us a bit nervous but all was well.

Room was huge and clean. Beds were soft. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Great location. Minutes away from Waxahachi, Texas and Texas Motorplex. The room could sleep up to six adults comfortably. Cold refrigerator and good microwave. Great price also!

Met all my needs. Free wi-fi so I could use my tablet and my laptop...that was convenient. Easy to get to and close to the places I was visiting.

I got there at the appointed time to check in but my room was not quite ready. Although that was not a real problem. I went to get something to eat and all was ready when I got back. So not really an issue for me.

I have stayed at this property on and off for several years because of the proximity to the Renaissance festival and because I travel on a very strict budget. I am at faire all 8 weekends of the season so I look for the most cost effective way to travel. I will say that the owner and his family are trying to upgrade the motel in many ways. I noticed when I drove into the parking lot that the grounds looked my better than they did last year. I was given a room with new beds, the room was extremely clean, the refrigerator and microwave appeared to be new and all of the amenities were in good working order. I visited with the owner before I left and he told me about the improvements they are trying to make and one thing they have done will go far for budget travelers like me; they have stopped letting people live there, which is the major thing that caused the motel to look run down and brought a bad element of people on occasion. They have replaced the roof, are renovating each guest room, the grounds look so much cleaner, and I think there will be more improvement. There were no bugs or other pests in the room. I’ve never seen that when I have stayed there but I saw other reviews that mentioned them. This is a $50 per night hotel; do not expect the Ritz Carlton because you won’t get that. This is a family owned and operated budget motel and they are working to make it nice. I do not feel unsafe and the doors had new electronic locks. When you have been at the Renaissance fair all day in a 50 pound Tudor court gown you want a place with a hot shower that is clean and has a good bed without breaking the bank, and this is it for me now that I have seen the upgrades. I have stayed at the Hampton or used my Comfort Suites points for my trips to faire and the bed I got here was as good at the ones in the more expensive hotels. I have booked them for the entire fair season now and I know the family will give me good service. Give them a chance.

It Was a Big room

False advertisement.they show pictures un lobby like they have continental breakfast.they don't. Not Even coffee por un room.you need to go to lobby yo get the coffee por. The sheets werent very clean. No hair dryer

The front counter lady was one of the most accommodating and kind people I've encountered in the hotel industry. Blessings!

More overhead lighting would be great

Size of room, set up of room. Close to Scarborough Renaissance faire, rates.

Roaches, gnats or fruit flies, doors hard to open, no cell phone reception, no internet access, strong smell of marijuana and/or blunt odor.

Good price. Large room and big beds with clean sheets.

Bathroom door barely allowed room to close it from inside. - No handrails or traction strips in shower tub; dangerous. Little to choose from on TV and remote didn't work well. Shower towels of poor quality. Room a little difficult to get to open door.

The room was extremely spacious got the 3 bed room and was amazed at how much room there was for us. We didn't have a coffee pot but front desk had no problem handing us one with some coffee and sugar

Door locks don't work and bugs all on the outside and they come in...like mosquitoes and whatnot..found a few roaches
