Hampton Inn Salt Lake City/Murray

No breakfast. I was not informed if available. Check in did not give me password therefore extreme stress trying to contact my people. He was a bit snippy that he was too busy to remember to tell me. I found a cigarette butt on the bed frame that housekeeping totally overlooked. Disgusting. I guess I just said all the things I found sub par. Bed was GREAT. so comf.

See above. Oh elliptical in work out room is broken. I noticed pool was green. I was going to use equipment but opted out.

This hotel is in a great location. We had a few choices for food during the day, and a great BK in the am. Easy on and off freeways, and a quick drive to pretty much anywhere we decided to go. We were so busy, we didn't have time for the pool, but we looked at it longingly as we were running back and forth. Very clean.

I could complain about the age of the hotel, but that would be stupid. It's really well taken care of, and I know it's been around for awhile. Our family was very greatful that we had a place to stay so close to family for the 4th.

The jacuzzi is refreshingly hot, not tepid like so many other hotels. Great way to unwind after hours of driving. The little tray that sits in front of the sofa is very convenient and useful. Very comfortable bed. All very clean. The ice machine actually gave out ice (often not the case with other hotels). Pool area well maintained. An overall level of quality commensurate with the charge for the room.

Surprised not to see a microwave or fridge. However, I also noted that the carpets etc were very clean -no stains (little coffee maker is kept in the bathroom for that reason also, I'm sure). So, I understood the hotel's thinking on that. No biggie. A suggestion is to use that as a marketing item - we have no fridges/ovens to ensure you have the highest standard of cleanliness, or some such, rather than surprising the customer when they get to the room. a

Very clean, everything like new and in very good shape. Room was spacious. Breakfast was good and available until 10 - good for me, I'm a late riser. Checkout at noon, also good for me. All in all, much above average on all counts. But what knocked my socks off was the jacuzzi at the pool. I like 'em HOT, but good luck finding one at a hotel - until now. Just because of the jacuzzi, this hotel is now my ONLY choice in SLC area. Only thing keeping my rating from being a 10 is no microwave or fridge. But hey, if that were provided, the room rates would be $20 more and I probably would have passed on this hotel. SO glad I didn't. And I'll take a good hot (and did I mention clean?) jacuzzi over a microwave and fridge any day.

Rooms are nice and spacious. Staff is very accommodating. Breakfast is Delicious. Coffee and tea served all night. Everything is nice and clean. Close to shops. Close to restaurants. Right off the freeway. This is my third stay at this hotel within the last few months. I have already booked a 4th stay in a few weeks. The hospitality and kindness of the staff here is the reason this is the ONLY hotel I will stay at on my trips to Salt Lake City/Murray. It's not just one or 2 people... It's EVERY employee I've made contact with on my recent, and prior stays here. This hotel is doing something very right!

I came to Murray for surgery on my broken femur and fractured hip.. I reserved the handicap accessible room. I was thinking it would have a roll in shower, but it had a tub. This made showering post operation almost impossible. My husband was able to help but it was so painfully difficult. That was disappointing. King rooms do not come standard with fridge or microwave like the double queen rooms (you can ask for one, I just thought it was strange) The only working ice machine was on the 3rd floor.

The staff is extremely nice. The complimentary breakfast was hot and fresh. Coffee and tea are available all night. The front desk gave us fresh towels and more shampoo. There are plenty of restaurants near by, including a 24 hr Denny's. The beds and pillows are so comfortable! I have a broken leg, the front desk noticed and made sure we were on the first floor, close to parking. THANK YOU FOR THE HOSPITALITY! This staff made our stay 100x better. I am scheduled for surgery close by and we will be staying again during post opp, because of how accommodating everyone was.

The lights in the bathroom could be brighter, and there was not a bathroom fan to keep the fog off the mirrors

The staff members are very friendly. They showed that they cared about our stay and wanted to make sure we had everything we needed.

Unfortunately the vending machine and ice machine were not working on the first 2 floors and so we had to go to the 3rd floor. But I understand that it's something that can't be controlled.

Breakfast was standard. Enough to satisy anyone but nothing special. Staff very friendly and attentive. Location was great. Very close to freeway and main thoroughfares.

Not as nice as I had expected for a Hampton but clean and good location with very friendly staff.

More restaurants within walking distance. A little difficult getting in and out due to continuous median, but did finally find a back exit.

Had to ask for a refrigerator and microwave since there weren’t either in the room when we arrived. Those items were included in the list of amenities and should be available.
