The mattress was softer than I prefer; I didn’t check if there was a choice-there may be. This is a minor detail-the stay was very comfortable, the staff were very pleasant, the place is easy to find. If I has known there was a pool I would have brought my swimwear! Thank you for an enjoyable stay. The room was a very generous size, as was the bathroom. The room was also very clean. Very good value for money.

See comments on bed, but that’s just a personal preference, so not a complaint.

it’s in a quiet location, about a five-minute drive from Manchester Center. Situated on Rte. 7A, there are a few other older-style motels and cabins. The room was clean.

When I entered the main building to check in, three men behind the counter just stared at me. no one greeted me, they just stared. it was off-putting, so I spoke up. One of the men spoke. His accent was very pronounced and I couldn’t always understand him. A simple check-in took nearly 15 minutes. When my husband and I opened the door to our room, it hadn’t been cleaned. But the young man must have realized, because he came running toward us to apologize. We went into the center for a couple of hours and when we returned, the room was clean.

Without requesting it, we got upgraded to a room in the second building, behind the first one. These rooms have a nice view of mountains, and of a small pond, and greenery all around. We enjoyed our take out dinner on the balcony!

The breakfast was a little bit "basic", but I would not say I did not like it. There just was not much choice. Still, it was not a big problem, and my wife got a lesson from another guest on how to make waffles with the hotel appliance! :-)

Friendly owners. Breakfast could have had a little more choice, like yogurt or Danish. I am a tea drinker and there wasn't hot water each morning even though there were tea bags. We would stay here again. 👍

The desk staff was very helpful and nice. The beds and sheets were comfortable. The size of the room was very good. The outside of the motel looked nice and well kept. The room was very clean.

The towels were terrible, very thin and rough. The bathroom vanity was worn and damaged. I appreciate a free continental breakfast as a great feature of the motel but the breakfast was poor. The motel should replace the Styrofoam plates because they are too small and very difficult to use, andd bad for the environment. The presentation of the breakfast was poor and so was the selection.

Very clean and seems fairly updated. Lovely employees, not too noisy etc. I am a repeat customer for a reason!

The only thing I didn’t like about it was the price, but to be honest, that’s just the way it goes in Vermont! No actual complaints though.

Breakfast wasn’t anything special, they had cereal and a waffle maker, along with milk and OJ. Again, it wasn’t anything great, but for being free, it was good. I ate my fill and didn’t have to stop anywhere before my hike and didn’t have to spend anymore money.

The room was spacious and clean. The owners are friendly and accommodating. There is a continental breakfast and a waffle maker. The motel was close to the downtown area of shops and restaurants. It is very nice to park outside of your door.

The picture showed 2 chairs but our room only had 1 at the end of the bed. The 2nd chair would have been helpful with 3 people. The mattress was lumpy and hard to get comfortable. There is no tub just a shower.

The staff were friendly and helpful (they gave us a corkscrew one night that we had forgotten). The room was large (we booked the "Deluxe," although I am not sure how it differs exactly from the regular), clean, and comfortable. We had a small kitchen (maybe this is the "Deluxe" part?) which was helpful since we bought groceries to eat in the room one night. There was also a small coffee maker that came in handy. The bathroom and shower were generally clean. We were in the upper building, which was fine for us; it's just up the hill and the walk to breakfast was short. The breakfast was a typical American-style "continental" breakfast with hard-boiled eggs, tater tots, cereal, a waffle maker, bagels, small cinnamon rolls, juice, and coffee. Not great, but sufficient. It is located just a bit outside Manchester, so driving is a must for any other options and all activities. We were doing a long weekend and had never been to the area, but there are great things to do (Hildene Museum, Equinox Mountain, Southern Vermont Arts Center, Pinball! (an arcade/museum of sorts where you can play old machines), the Outlets, and plenty of hiking and leaf peeping).

There was nothing seriously wrong. It is an old-style "motel" that has had some updates. The breakfast, as I mentioned, wasn't great (we went out our last morning), the shower curtain could have been just a bit cleaner, and the shower head didn't really put out a good spray, more of a stream, so there was enough water, it was hot, but it also sort of just streamed out.

centrally located. spacious rooms and large bathroom, they do have coffee maker and blow dryer in room although not listed in amenities. casual breakfast from cereal to make your own waffles. fridge in room and additional chairs and tables did not feel cramped like some places. pool and table and chairs outside of rooms
