Beautiful location next to the river just a few miles from Stowe. Though not a “fancy” hotel, the room was very clean and homey. The area was quiet and we felt very safe. The staff were very friendly. From recommending a delivery service when we arrived late and exhausted to recommending places in town everyone was very We did not have time to use the pool and hot tub but we did see the area and it was very nice and clean.

I was a bit disappointed in the breakfast. The description and reviews indicated a free breakfast buffet. There was no buffet. There were 4 different food options that you could choose. Two were hot options and two were not. The menu options did not change and were the same each day. That being said, the food was good. I think they may do buffets during peak season and we were in off season but it would have been nice to know that up front.

The hotel, while the facilities are old and simple, is well-maintained and managed by the family. Everything is basic, simple, economic but working so that customers' basic needs for accommodations can be met. For example, there is no coffee maker in each room but hot coffee is provided and available in the dining room 24 hours. The breakfast is served with hot meals w/ varieties, which is the best feature of this family hotel!

The location is bit far away from I-89 North. The wall is too thin and not sound proof. People in the room can hear footsteps and noise and be waken up when people are walking and talking along the hallway or in next door!

I liked almost everything about this property. The design of the rooms is green, modern and nice. It was very quiet at night. Both indoor and outdoor pool was exceptional experience for me and my 2 yo son. The play room is awesome - incredible variety of the table games.

Breakfast is served in an awkward way: you have choice #1, #2 and #3 and can choose only one drink (apple or orange juice) with certain type of the breakfast. Our windows were facing the road, probably it would be better if we've chosen other side of the hotel.

The rooms are good sized, not cramped. We have stayed before, in 2019. Sausage scramble egg was a nice breakfast. There were only one size of paper cup for coffee. Why not one size larger as well? No allergens in the room! Both of use have dust mite allergies that are often triggered. Hot tub is very clean and the right temp. Sauna is well-documented, warm enough, and very comfortable. Pool is *super* clean and doesn't reek of chlorine!

The parking lot should be upgraded to drain the giant ponds (puddles). Graded/ pitched pavement or culverts.

The staff was so friendly, the location is beautiful (the stream behind the property is idyllic) and they serve a nice breakfast. Check in and check out was very easy. The rooms were comfortable and I'm glad we had a fridge in the room. The location is nicely in between Stowe village as well as Stowe mountain. I highly recommend checking out The Round Hearth Cafe and Marketplace for breakfast or lunch.

The rooms aren't very soundproof so you will hear your neighbors. You can also hear cars coming and going outside. I would recommend ear plugs or a white noise machine. The rooms are old but mostly clean (there were some hairs on the floor when got there that I cleaned up). The beds are older too and probably need replacing.

location to the ski base. free breakfast. adequate heating in room. value for money. no hidden fees at checkout!

- water from the shower didn’t drain out…waded through ankle deep milky water as I showered. - water from faucets took literally five minutes to warm up. - very thin walls. - no microwave. - security cameras are all over the property..gave an uneasy distrustful vibe. - met the whole family at the front desk and nary a smile nor a welcome from anyone as I entered.

Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and hot.we didn’t use the pool or hot tub as I forgot our suits.the owner was very helpful with recommendations for dinner. Thank you

The quest were a little noisy when coming in for the night but that is no reflection on the hotel itself. I would of liked o check out at 11:00 instead of 10:00. Most hotels I stayed at check out is 11:00

Breakfast was exceptional! The staff was so welcoming. We loved the hottub. The location of the lodge was perfect. It was just far enough out of the city but still very close. I also loved the creek in the back of the property. I sat outside and watched the water many times

There was a sort of mildew-y smell and the room was humid- our towels never fully dried

The host greeted us with a lot of information and the room itself was small but comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and the location is right in the middle of Stowe- easy access to the mountain and to restaurants and the bike path. Breakfast was delicious.

The door leading to the outside had a little gap between the bottom of the door and the floor which led me to think small things could get into the room. I'm not sure if they sell this room in the winter, but I would hope that if they do, they remediate the gap. Breakfast was delicious but they used a lot of wrapping and produced a lot of waste since they package the breakfast "to go" for Covid purposes.

We liked the rooms. They appeared rustic and not generic like most hotel chains. The beds were comfortable. Also enjoyed using the indoor pool and hot tub. The location was very nice with a stream running behind the lodge. Lastly, the take and go breakfast was more substantial than most.

The female owner talked a mile a minute and made it difficult to understand what she was telling us. Had to ask her to repeat herself. It seemed to me that she didn't care whether you got the information or not. They charge $25 for a replacement key if you lose the key.
