Stowe Motel & Snowdrift

Loved everything about the location, landscape, walking distance to anything you wanted around the area of the Motel, the free bike rental, dvds to watch, coffee/tea, the pool was great and patio area was very nice!! Loved how quaint, charming and clean the Motel was. Had an efficiency room bed was comfortable and had everything you needed from utensils, pans etc... Staff was so friendly and great!! It was our first time in Stowe we stayed 5 days it was a recommendation from a friend who had stayed here for several years so glad she recommended this place because I DEFINITELY will!! 😁♥️😁

This motel is older, but very well kept. Room was spacious and comfortable. It’s a simple very clean motel. It’s in a beautiful location and close to everything. Although our room was on a busy road, never heard the traffic unless we were outside. The staff were ALL very friendly and accommodating. We booked for two nights and loved the area so much we decided to stay an extra day and one call to the front deck and we were set. The area has something for everyone, shopping, hiking, short day trips exploring the general area. It was one of our favorite stops on our trip around New England.

This is a very nice motel and our room was tidy and clean and had a working gas fireplace which was all we needed to warm up a chilly fall evening and morning. The people working at the front desk were really helpful and friendly. We were tired and didn't feel like eating out so they were able to direct us to a really wonderful deli that was within walking distance. The staff was very helpful with directing people to find hiking and biking trails. Very knowledgeable about the area. No breakfast was provided, but there was a coffee pot and coffee in our room and coffee and tea is also available in the lobby. Freshly baked cookies were available at check-in along with some candy bars. Parking was free and plentiful.

The motel's roads leading to the motel rooms are full of potholes. We were advised to head back out to the highway and then go in through another entrance closer to our room to avoid the worst of these.

good location, very clean and comfy. kitchenette was a real plus along with the sofa in the room. free bikes to borrow. there is also a games room with table tennis, foosball etc. there are grills dotted around the property where u can bbq food if u want to. We really loved the feel of the property, the space in the room. staff were really friendly too

pool was out of action during our stay-but to be fair the weather wasn’t good enough to swim in an outdoor pool

The motel is nicely situated, somewhat on the outskirts of Stowe, surrounded by beautiful nature yet still close to a few restaurants and bars. The room had a little kitchenette, a strong AC, and a somewhat dated bathroom with good water pressure. Everything seemed very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed a scenic ride on the free bikes up the Stowe rec path.

Even though the room was immaculately clean, there was a faint odor throughout the whole room which we couldn't quite place - it reminded us a little of hospital cleaner.

We were just staying for one night, so location was everything for us. The Motel is right on the bike path, close to restaurants and other amenities. Our room was comfortable, typical space for a motel room, and very clean. We were surprised by how quiet it was given the number of people staying there. They also have lots available for guests including a DVD library, bikes, etc. that we didn't use, but would if we were staying there longer.

Honestly, I can't think of anything. The beds and space, etc. were all pretty standard for a motel. It met our expectations.

The staff was very helpful, friendly, and professional. Location is fabulous, with great views of the mountains and close to restaurants, shops, and the wonderful Stowe Recreation Path.

There was no breakfast. I believe it was due to lack of staff. Since there is no breakfast provided, there should be microwaves in all of the rooms (I believe only the efficiency units have them). Also, there should be more than 2 coffee packets for the in-room coffee makers. For many of the units, it's a long walk to the office to get coffee.

Other than being a pretty basic reliable clean option, the best thing this motel has going for it is it's staff. The lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful with information. When we encountered a non-working heating system, the evening staff went far beyond what we anticipated by bringing us a space heater at 9:30pm on a Saturday night.

The only negative was defective heating system, but we know that mechanical things don't always work properly. To their credit, they did all they could to make us comfortable.

Good location...could walk to restaurants. Liked the availability of using the bikes! Very cool that the farmer's market was within 225 feet of our room.

Nothing...

The location is central to many activities and restaurants in Stowe. We attended the farmer's market, which was right next door to the property. We also went to Stowe Cider and Piecasso, all within walking distance of our room. We drove to the Von Trapp Family Lodge for a wonderful dinner and it was only 10 minutes at the most to the lodge and the brewery. The rooms are clean and comfortable. There was a fridge and a hot water heater for tea or coffee. Pillows were very comfortable.

The A/C though welcome was a bit loud. We still managed a good night's sleep and were grateful for the coolness as it was a hot and humid day.
