The Stoweflake is in a beautiful location. The fireplaces throughout the property fill the space with a beautiful warmth and light. The fluffy pillows were great. The views are beautiful. The tea and coffee were excellent quality. The housekeeping staff were super friendly.

Everything felt kind of... old? The property is a bit dated. Having two separate taps on the sink rather than a mixer meant I scalded myself. For the price paid, I didn't feel special during this visit, it was pretty meh. The greeting at check in sucked, frankly. I wouldn't choose to stay here again and would instead just visit the spa separately.

The bed was very clean and comfortable, the shower was hot, the location was perfect for all of our Stowe activities, and we loved that the hotel was dog friendly 🐶 another bonus was the hot tub right near our room

The room itself seemed out of date and dirty with stains on the carpet, stains on the (seemingly old) couch, a strange smell, and a couple of flies in the room. Thankfully the shower and bed were clean. We had limited interactions with the staff but the receptionist who checked us in and out seemed rude and unfriendly.

The room was comfortable with plenty of space. We did have an issue with our room door not locking which we brought to the staff’s attention when we checked out.

The pool had a high chlorine and chemical issue which burnt the children’s skin. We never saw anyone maintaining the pool or checking the ph. We brought the situation to the staff’s attention and will be writing to the hotel.

The property had everything a family could need to enjoy the area. pool, restaurant (closed), spa, game room, hot tub, sauna etc. The room was spacious and comfortable.

The mattresses were very low quality. They were comfortable enough but when your partner moves in the slightest way, it is very noticeable. A good mattress feels like table stakes for a “4 star hotel”. There was evidence that they were understaffed because the trash barrels were left overflowing for several days in a row at the hotel side entrance. I understand Covid is making things hard but as a consumer I am a little tired of excusing this type of this if we are paying full price.

It felt like family. Ready to help at all times with genuine friendliness.

The internet service in the room was exceptionally poor. The top two corners of the room fire place are right at temple level and nailed me twice and my son once. They should at least be rounded.

Quiet and centrally located to all of the various areas of Stowe. Loved the outdoor pool which is large and not overcrowded by numerous and noisy crowds. My partner was very pleased with the treatment that she received at the spa.

Loved the amenities: squash court, fitness center, heated indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna. Very much appreciated the various fireplaces throughout the property.

Charlie B restaurant and tavern. Excellent food and staff especially Katie and Neil. Good hot tub, indoor and outdoor pool. Comfortable bed and room. Location is excellent for walking and short driving to stores, shops, and restaurants.

No refrigerator in our room and pool bar/food is only open on weekends.

The rooms were very large, quiet and clean. Bathrooms were spa like. Beds very comfortable. The lady at the desk waived our meal fee due to the "misunderstanding". Eat at the Idletime Brewery across the street. The Mattie B is just mediocre.

They are very vague on whether breakfast is included and then the staff direct you to the room where the attached restaurant is serving a buffet. They have your name and room number which makes you believe it is complimentary with your room, there is a buffet that looks great but tastes mediocre and then they put a bill on your table for $27.00 and expect a tip. The breakfast is complimentary if you are a "member of the spa". Not cool. They also said that our room was "pool side". Which in my experience your room would have a door leading to the pool. Nope. Our room was on the "same side of the hotel as the pool". So, once again very vague and misleading.
