Capitol Plaza Hotel Montpelier Tapestry Collection by Hilton

The hotel has definitely seen some improvements since my last stay. The decor in the room was tasteful, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom was quite pleasant. The room was well-designed for a good night's sleep.

Breakfast could have been included in the price of the room. Parking was available behind the hotel but cost extra.

Everything! The location, staff was excellent - each person met was friendly. They always were accommodating, smiling, knowledgeable about the area and just plain pleasant!! With many restaurant options.

I did not care for the fact we were charged to park each day in Capitol parking lot. Isn't it up to the establishment to allow parking for their customers? But then again, you did you just charged for it....perhaps it was more secure. No problem, as it was a mere 12.00 per day....it just seems that it should have been included. Also, hot water should be available 24/7 for tea drinkers.

It was beautiful! Very good location and easy to spot. The staff was amazing. The room was big and wonderful! The floor in the bathroom was heated!!! What a LUXURY! Everything was so clean. The absolutely best part for me though……was the gift shop! THANK YOU SO MUCH for having that gift shop!

There wasn’t clear cut instructions for where the guests were supposed to park, or at least I didn’t see any. The sweet lady checking me in had to tell me what to do. I wish the breakfast had been better. It wasn’t complimentary and the choices were a little lackluster. But……it was convenient and we took advantage of it.

The room was actually more comfortable than expected. It turned out to suit our visit and travel plans very nicely.

For the price we paid, I believe breakfast should have been included. I've noticed higher priced hotels don't, for some reason, include breakfast whereas the more reasonably priced hotels do. That was a down-side. We did get breakfast on one day, but frankly the quality was not the best. If La Quinta can do it, so can Hilton.

The hotel was right in the historic city center, close to great eateries and shops. The staff was also friendly and helpful, and kindly arranged a ride to the train station in the morning.

One thing to note about Montpelier in general (nothing specifically about the property) is the unavailability of public transportation, Ubers/Lyfts or cabs. It would have been helpful to know that renting a car from the start is the way to go, especially for new visitors. The hotel was extremely helpful in providing a shuttle service to the train station upon request, with ample planning.

it was a nice hotel. the room was cozy and comfortable with a nice view of downtown. the staff was friendly, especially the lady at breakfast. she was helpful and friendly. the shower in our room was nice.

i didn’t like that i had to pay for breakfast separately, which was not spectacular, but their coffee was good. also parking was $8 a day. we only stayed one so not bad. but i cant imagine staying longer.

The staff was really wonderful, personable and always ready to answer questions. The room was super clean and very comfortable. I appreciated that the entire staff was masked. As an electric car owner, there were a couple of charging options close to the hotel, including a fast charger a short walk away just across the river. Montpelier is a cute town and also an easy drive up to Burlington.

For the money, the basic continental breakfast really should have been included. Hopefully next time the attached restaurant will be reopened for brunch! (They aren't doing breakfast due to COVID.)

Great location right in the downtown area. Room was spacious. Excellent restaurant on site.

Aircon wasn’t working and battery for thermostat had to be replaced, although housekeeping was quick to respond. It was quite dusty by the window where the aircon was. Strong smell on the bedsheets (bleach?) and along the corridors (cleaning materials?)

The location was excellent. They had an EV charger, which is the reason we chose this hotel. May need to get more in future, but really appreciated the convenience.

We arrived on a Sunday, and the hotel restaurant is closed Sunday and Monday as well as most of the town.

You’re paying up for the location. Not many other options. The hotel and rooms are fine though. A la cart breakfast was $16.50 for the few packaged items I purchased. Bathroom light fixtures were too low (in my face).
