Clean , new and nice

Only con before you book through booking.com please know it’s a $100.00 deposit per night of your stay. On the actual website it states that but not under the booking.com website . There’s a lot of taxes included as well . No parking lot you will have to pay 32.00 a dollars a night through valet . ( go find parking on the side street ) this was not stated on the booked .com website .

If you are looking for a hotel for an extended stay in Alexandria, I cannot imagine anything more comfortable than AKA. My husband and I enjoyed our time at the hotel. We were comfortable drinking coffee and working at the table in our room. The design and cleanliness of the room was great. The complimentary Wi-Fi was working properly. Note that the hotel is some way away from areas crowded by tourists, but still within walking distance of them. If you value privacy and like to walk, this is the right option for you. We were surrounded by the care of the hotel team from the moment we walked into the lobby. We were checked in by Anastasia who was incredible. And all the team members we interacted with afterward were friendly and pleasant. Our room did not have a kitchen, but we specifically looked for such an option, as we prefer to eat in cafes when traveling and generally think such rooms are cozier. But we had a nice refrigerator and an awesome capsule coffee machine. We liked that the cleaning service was not automatic daily. We requested it in the lobby as needed. This made our stay at the hotel not only more sustainable but also more private. There is nothing to improve! AKA is perfect. My husband and I will always try to stay at AKA while traveling in the USA and abroad.

I loved the simplicity of the decor, the bathroom setup, the comfortable beds. Your front desk and valet staff were genuinely courteous and helpful. I also enjoyed the coffee shop fair--quiche and latte!

The room was very comfortable for me, but my friend needed grab bars in the shower because of ongoing health issues. Although the front desk clerk was not able to provide that support, it was clear to us that if there was a room available with that amenity, she would have seen to it that we would have gotten it! We appreciated her courteousness.

My point of contact was Eskedar. She was very accommodating, friendly and personable. She's very knowledgeable,and treated every guess with respect. I was extremely impressed. I rate Hotel AKA at a 10/10. Thanks to Eskedar's impeccable service, I will be returning. I will also recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Nowhere to iron/steam clothes. There are no safety bars in the shower. No exhaust fan in the bathroom.

The hotel decorum is chic and modern. I absolutely loved the outdoor space on the second floor. The room was updated, spacious and comfortable. The bar and gym are also nice. Staff was friendly.

The lobby area is a bit dim. I didn’t realize the check in desk was in front of me and had to ask if I was at the right place. I didn’t expect to find stains on any of the linen as the hotel is new. I informed staff of a stain on a pillowcase and bathroom floor towel, and they were both replaced.

Excellent location, walkable to everywhere. The hotel is new and everything is very clean. The staff was very helpful. Eskedar and Anastasia were especially helpful. We asked for a second chair in the room and Eskedar made it happen.

The hotel is new and doesn’t have all the expected amenities for a pricey hotel like this. For example, there was no coffee maker in the room and no shower cap, vanity kit or hand lotion. I expect these things will improve over time.

It’s a new hotel so everything was clean, the location is great, only 15 minutes drive to National Harbor Convention Centre and walking distance to trader joe’s. Inside the hotel there is a coffee shop as well which is great for coffee lovers.

It was hard to get the right temperature for the shower, it’s either too hot or too cold, maybe need a little bit of tuning up.

The staff are phenomenal, especially Eskedar at the front desk, the bar staff and the bellman. They all go out of their way to make you feel special and welcomed. The rooms are beautiful, spotlessly clean, thoughtfully appointed and absolutely serene. And, the croissants are fresh-baked! Absolutely delightful stay! Will definitely be back!

The hotel is very quiet. It has a unique minimalist design and interior decorations. The beds are very tidy and comfortable. The room was very clean.

No hot breakfast offered yet. But, they said they will soon.
