The Staff was excellent, Kind and Professional. The Food was good.Nice being near the Mall.

The Workout Room was a disaster 😫 Unclean, Unsanitary, The equipment half Work if not broke ,No Towels ,No Sanitation ,It was not given any attention. There was nothing in there to protect you from Covid.Nothing to wipe the equipment down .I'm not sure if some people actually live there.Not saying I got sick there,but that Nasty workout room did not help.I became very ill, I was getting ill be fore I got there.I did not know the extent of my illness until I got home.Covid is Real ,Please provide the necessary things to keep the workout facilities clean on everyday basis.This is serious. Nothing to play with. Dont throw Caution to the wind.The water machines was not working properly.

The lobby looked fresh and beautiful! The great and blue looked perfect together. very inviting. Thomas (Front desk) was so friendly and helpful and professional! He smoothed over a minor little ruffle, when I got there, with a swift and perfect solution. Michael (Building engineer) was also awesome, he offered to help me with my bags and actually went and got some ice for me when I asked where the ice machine was! He was epitome of kindness. Then there was Yolanda and Nautica (Night Time Front desk) who helped me with the TV operation that I couldn’t get to work… turned out it just needed a wire wiggled or tightened! they also made me feel comfortable and had me laughing. There was a sweet little housekeeper lady up on third floor ( I didn’t get her name) that was super friendly! I really feel felt like they treated me like family and I almost just wanted to stay a little longer. These are terrific assets you have on this team! Oh, the breakfast was delicious! Coffee was super strong - but I added a little water and milk.

The only thing I would say that needed improved - would be a grab bar in the shower. My room had a shower - no tub. (I’m mobility challenged) and I felt there should have been a grab bar at least for getting out of shower… even if I was not challenged.

My sister and I appreciated the front desk agent DOROTHY's friendly welcome. The elevators were not working and she was very apologetic, clear in explaining; and reassured us they were doing everything possible to get the problem fixed. Dorothy communicated the inspectors had to give their approval that it was safe to operate. My sister has health issues that did not allow her to go up and down the stairs, so the next day Dorothy transferred us to a room on the first floor. She had tried the ay we arrived, the hotel was booked solid. Also, the young lady upkeeping the food area worked so hard and kept everything cleaned and sanitized. There was another front desk who though we had no interaction with; always said good morning etc.

I just would like to thank all of the staff at comfort Inn Newport news/Hampton. From the front desk Miss Dorothy to the breakfast attend Miss Lisa even the night staff Mr. Gordon. The housekeepers as well as the concierge gentleman I’m sorry I forgot his name but he was wonderful as well and he worked during the day and he had braids.The breakfast was wonderful hot and filling, I my Daughters and I enjoyed all two days of my stay. Everyone was so friendly I would definitely stay there again and also recommend anyone that needed a hotel in Newport News. I definitely 10 out of 10😊🙏

I had no problem or concerns.

The breakfast was fine. Better than expected though some items, such as muffins and oj were gone at 8:20 when we ate. The coffee was good, The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were clean and in good shape.

The air conditioner was loud and, as my husband said, the window treatments were poorly thought out. The sheer curtains blew about and flapped NOISILY all night long above the a/c wall unit.

The staff was courteous and helpful. The location was ideal. Such close proximity to a large number of eateries and stores . I absolutely LOVED having the microwave in the room as well. So helpful

The toilet never seemed to have a good level of water at the bottom of the bowl, but it did indeed flush extremely well.

break fast was great. there were collage basket ball teams and associated staff all getting breakfast. only one coffee machine available.

it was obvious that one of the two treadmills was damaged and out of order for some time. guest take exercise seriously. it was very difficult to get in line to use one treadmill.

property was clean, and comfortable. we were there for one night so it worked well for that.

at breakfast coffee machine was not working and there was no back up. the staff was very kind and trying hard but I felt like there should have been a basic back up coffee make me in the back with a carafe and that would have been perfect.

Loved every aspect of the place. The location was perfect, had lots of things around it. The beds and place was clean and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was great especially Nautica. Wouldn't ask for anything to change. Keep up the good work.
