Tru By Hilton Thornburg, VA

it was first time in a TRU hotel, i loved the decor, but the bed covering needed to be thicker, especially in January, but enjoyed the stay. Going back in a couple of weeks, but bringing my own blankets. Bed and pillows wasn't bad.

For chic and modern decor, thin covers didnt work for me, nice patterns but thinner and not as warm as the sheets. Had to change the room temperature several times. Even asked for an extra top covering at the desk.

They had a great little patio that was covered with sail cloth, an L shape real outdoor sofa and a fire pit. The fact that they had “real” outdoor furniture complete with cushions that looked well cared for left me seriously impressed.

The filter in the ac unit in the room was filthy. Not a big deal, just a training issue.

Everything seemed pretty new and very clean here. Lobby: stylishly appointed, comfortable seating, friendly staff. Room: clean and simple with ample hooks and places to put luggage. Great lighting options. Beds comfortable. Only one chair though. Bathroom: shower was very nice -- roomy and clean with a massage showerhead. The water could have been a bit hotter, but it was consistent and the pressure was good. TV: very large and had Netflix! Other: 24-hour coffee in the lobby because the rooms do not have coffee machines.

Our handsoap container hadn't been filled and we ran out almost right away. The air conditioner/heating unit made an intermittent ticking noise which woke me up a few times. The highway noise was substantial but being from the city I didn't mind. It is continuous and quite loud though. Breakfast: basic stuff. Not too much variety.

excellent amenities-ample breakfast, complimentary tea and coffee. Nice staff, good quality toiletry items in bathroom and shower, comfortable bed and linens. There is a little shop inside with snacks, cold drinks, etc. which is a nice touch. Room lovely and clean. Would recommend for a restful night!

better shades in the room to block out early morning sunlight, otherwise all was wonderful!

We appreciated the "modern industrial" decor. Having a dispenser to fill our water bottles was a nice touch. The shower was great (except that the door leaked water onto the floor). All of the staff we interacted with were friendly.

The constant roar of nearby I-95 was omnipresent in our room. But glad I had earplugs to help reduce the volume of the din.

I LOVED THE LOCATION.... THE STAFF WAS AMAZING AND DID EVERYTHING THEY COULD HAVE POSSIBLY DONE TO MAKE THE TRIP COMFORTABLE AND FUN.. THEY GAVE GREAT SUGGESTIONS FOR RESTAURANTS AND LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT THAT WAS BOTH FUN FOR ADULTS AS WELL AS KIDS AND SAFE. THE BEST STAFF EVER!!!

I DIDNT LIKE THAT WE HAD TO LEAVE TO CATCH OUR FLIGHT I WANTED TO STAY AND EXTRA DAY OR 2. THIS PLACE WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND LOOKING FORWARD TO MY NEXT TRIP!!!

Great location. Right next to NASCAR raceway. Rooms are comfortable and spacious, very clean, very modern, comfortable bedding, and a 50 inch television with Netflix and other movie options. Hot breakfast, and a large selection of breakfast items, free pool table, magazines, and books available. A heated indoor pool and gym.

My family and I traveled and stayed there July 31, 2021. When we arrived that night after a family gathering to our surprise the Dominion Raceway is right across in front of the hotel. I was a race still in progress, and it was so exciting to see specially for our 4yr old son. The entire vibe soon as we stepped in the property was awesome. It was new, décor is colorful and refreshing, modern, pool table area, seating, food set up, reminds me of a cute lounge. Room was clean, spacious, shower was cute my favorite was the soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers. So cute I wish we had stayed a second night. This will definitely be our family trip location whenever we traveling to my families house in Mineral, VA. ~The Watsons

Nothing to complain about.

It was clean and smelled good. The breakfast was great. The staff was friendly

One of the elevators sounds bad and needs repair. The shower door was dirty and the shampoo bottles where they sit in the brackets were dirty.

It was nice and clean, staff was nice and relaxing…good atmosphere 

Just the shower need a little upkeep around the bottom of the shower look molded and the water leaked out the edges of the shower doors
