Food was good, rooms were clean, the "cannibal hot tub" was unique and a cool experience. A herd of elk visited the neighboring meadows daily. Over all a great place to stay for a "base camp" of sorts for your Mt. Rainier activities!

Poor Anna seemed to be running the entire facility herself... from lobby guest check in to hostess and server for the restaurant, to the barista and cook for the café... her demeanor was very flat and not as welcoming as you would like from someone who handled all guest services! She maybe smiled 2 times in the 3 days we were there! Anyway some help and warm welcoming smiles would have made it near perfect! And better lighting in the rooms!

Our room was a cool log cabin with very comfortable beds (2 queens) for the four of us. We had dinner at the restaurant after a late arrival and breakfast in the bakery the next morning. The staff was pleasant - even if there was a language barrier at times. They went above and beyond after we left something important behind.

We reserved the "cannibal hot tub" but it was way too hot to use. After literally burning my feet I asked if they had a thermometer but no such luck. Fun concept but use at your own risk! The owners clearly have a lot of skills and are constantly building things but nothing ever seemed 100% finished and there was stuff throughout the grounds.

Such a good experience with the Ukraine food, especially the crepes. The room is cute. It feels like we are actually live in the forest. A very good experience overall. It would be better if the plates are smaller tho, because the microwave could not function that well with the big plates.

Overall the experience was really good. However, I found two small spiders on the bed. But given that the lodge is in the forest I think it's understandable. Other than this, the lodge was pretty clean, quiet, and comfy. We went outside to see the stars at night. You can clearly see the Big Dipper and Galaxy. We even saw the meteor swinging across the sky. One pitfall was the lights were a bit bright tho. But again, overall the experience is good enough.

The room was spacious. So was the bathroom. Loved the coffee and water provisions. The layout of the property was great. Very easy checkin and checkout

The restaurant closing time was 9 pm and when we reached at 8.40 pm the server refused to get us a table saying the kitchen was closed. We had to go hungry that night and it was a major complaint from us.

Breathtaking view from our front door. Elk visited daily. Cannibal tub was lovely as was the restaurant. My wife is from Ukraine and she kept saying how she felt like she was home. Definitely a bit rustic but very much worth the experience. It was about 45 minutes to mount Rainier which was the experience of a lifetime.

Nothing to complain about.

We backcountry ski at Mt Rainier and opted for this instead of winter camping. The location is very close to the park entrance. The room is very warm and all our skiing gear dried overnight.

Careful if using the coffee maker because it will overflow the provided cups. You'll have to switch cups half way through the pour. One set of neighbors played their TV quite loud till 1am. Bring earplugs or opt for a cabin if you don't want to risk that noise.

Jamie at the front desk was very energetic and genuinely happy. Was a warm welcome and exit. Thank you Jamie! The facilities are unique. You get what you need- don’t expect a Hilton. I will say given the simplicity of the place it is expensive and you’re definitely paying for close access to Mt Ranier. Nothing more

Wi-Fi is bad You will have no cell signal be warned Squeaky bathroom door in room could use some WD 40! Extra garbage can would be great! Only had a small one in the bathroom Suspicious Stains on pull out mattress

The room decor, great beds and linens, nice comfortable sofabed, good coffee, nice ceramic coffee cups. Very clean, nice hard surface flooring, very nice quality washcloths n towels. Very comfortable beds. Beautiful natural scenery and snow!

Took a bit to figure out how to turn up heat. Bathroom sink water is WAY too hot, even dangerous for children. Hard to get to bath faucet bc glass doors don't slide at faucet end. Awkward parking for Rm 12. Coffee shop did not have eggs and another item. I had written messages ahead and did not receive responses to either of them. One msg regarded increased number on our party, but there were no increased number of coffee cups, no increased washcloths n towels.

This was such a cute cottage that we stayed in. The bathroom was beautiful. The staff was very friendly. It was very comfortable and quiet. The only extra I did, was purchase from the bakery and it was delicious.

I was pleasantly surprised - It kinda looked like a shack when we pulled in. but was well worth it. They even provided dishes to use which was a nice touch. Could use another light so that both sides of the bed have one.

The bed was comfortable and cozy. The bungalow aesthetics were rustic and felt like we lived in a in the past, a village in the Ukraine in the early 1900s. The bakery/cafe had delicious breakfast food, and pastries that were delectable. The family earing arrangements encouraged conversations.
